The read dot won't appear until you're closer than Triple is in the video. It functioned identically in Halo. In the video he ADS so hip fire accuracy isn't in question at all. When ADS the shot should land in the center of the reticle 100% of the time. Hand cannons in Destiny function much like the Halo Reach pistol. They start out with an expanded accuracy cone that expands more as you fire. It resets to a point, but never to 100% accuracy (like the DMR did in Reach) The video also proved without a doubt that this is also the case with scout rifles. He zooms in, and slows down frame by frame. There is absolutely no room to interpret this data any other way. You're making silly arguments.
