Rise of Iron Pre-Order not working on Xbox store
I went to pre order rise of iron because I saved up my money and planned on getting it this weekend, but it says that it is unavailble. I tried this yesterday night (Friday) and this Saturday morning. Anybody know why this is?
Update: I managed to pre order it off of the microsoft website on my tablet. If you are having issues as well, I would try this.
Another Update: People are still having trouble with downloading it both from the xbox store and from microsoft's website. All I can say is that whoever is in charge of these pre orders, whether it be bungie, activison, or microsoft, needs to get their shit together. Never before have I seen this much trouble with pre orders (at least in my experience). My last bit of advice would be to go pre order from gamestop. It sucks to have to waste time and gas money to get the pre order, but if it's the only thing that works, then oh well.

I also had the same problems of it saying it is unavailable to preorder,but I think I know why. I'm games sharing with my brother and on his account I originally downloaded destiny and all the dlc, so when I switched to his I could preorder it on Xbox marketplace no problem, so if you are games sharing the taken King dlc with someone else and they're the one who bought it, download the rise of iron dlc on their account and get it off them via game share.

For those having issues finding the preorder on the Xbox store. Here are a few solutions. On the page which states it is only available as part of the collectors bundle, scroll down to very bottom of the page as this is where I found the preorder. Also it maybe worth moving all of your expansions into the same storage unit as mine were all separated. This may or may not help.

1 RespuestaSame problem but figured out the issue. Had Destiny since day one with all expansions/add ons, but when I tried to pre order XBOX1 stated it must be bought with a bundle. Here is what I did: Go to manage Destiny in your games/apps and open it. Look to make sure ALL expansions/add ons are installed! For some reason all my add ons were not installed although I play this game everyday. I installed every item, took like 10 seconds total, and returned to XBOX live store. This time when I went to Rise of Iron screen, the Pre Order option was now available. Went to my son's account on his Xbox1 and he had the same problem. Installed all the updates and was able to pre order. Hope this helps.

My speculation is there may still be some continuing 'back end' problems between Bungie and Microsoft. However, I was able to place my pre-order from the Microsoft/Xbox store directly on my Xbox a few weeks ago. It then downloaded about 200MB of what I can only assume is some kind of installer...?

4 RespuestasI went on chat with an Xbox Ambassador and they said that because I didn't purchase TTK through the actual xbox store, It didn't recognise that I actually owned TTK which is the requirement for Pre Order. I don't understand why this should matter because I have TTK installed on my xbox so surely it would recognise that I own TTK? I checked with a friend who had pre ordered TTK through Xbox Store last year and he is able to pre order Rise Of Iron without the Collection for £25. I'm annoyed about this and don't want to have to pay extra for all the content I already own!

I think your xbox is trying to warn you from buying it for good reason. Listen to the xbox.

yeah I have the same problem, anyone got a fix yet? I've been searching for a few hours, the only alternative seems to be getting it from Game/Gamestop but it doesn't specify whether its for xbox or ps4.

1 RespuestaEditado por Pocket Fox: 9/10/2016 2:37:06 PMI got it to work a few days ago, but it took a while. It's there, just keep trying. Use the search function and search for Destiny Rise of Iron. The pre-order will come up as an option but when you click it XBL will say something like "sorry whatever you're looking for isn't there". Keep trying! Back out of the store then go back in and try again. About the 10th try it finally got it to take me to the pre-order screen and successfully pre-ordered. I think it's an XBL problem. The store has been wonky as hell since the last update.
