What's your opinion on recreational drug use?
Just wondering what everyone thinks. Do you think it's alright in moderation? How much is too much? Where do you draw the line? Pills? Weed? Coke? LSD? We generally don't talk about drug use and most people are badly informed by the anti-drug movement. I want to hear people's opinions and help clear up some misconceptions.
Btw: Contrary to popular belief, you can be successful and use drugs. They're not mutually exclusive.
Edit: Found a pretty neat video on drug [url=https://youtu.be/ao8L-0nSYzg]addiction[/url]. Might shine some light on an issue that isn't as black and white as it seems.

23 RespuestasHonestly, there shouldn't be such a thing as "illegal drugs", all drugs should be legal. We a humans should have the right to do with our body as we please (also my raining as to why prostitution should be legal, as well as suicide, including Physician-assisted).

Roughly the same as my opinion on anything else: so long as you don't annoy or inconvenience me I couldn't care less what you do. Ironically contempt for people makes you less hateful towards them.

Personally, I don't care. I'll never do drugs because of my addictive personality. But, if others do it's their choice, not mine. So I hold a very netural stance on this subject.

I can't stand those pricks that have to constantly sprout off that they are having a smoke though. I still believe drugs that make you dangerous around other people like bath salts should be illegal, but other than that, do what you want with your own body man. If you become addicted and use it without regulation, the negative effects is a punishment in itself.

Morally I'm against drugs but I think some drugs should be legalized so we can bring more of the industry and tax revenue that would make into our country

And they claim it doesn't make you paranoid! But in all honesty if you want to mess with your mind then that's up to you. Just keep it to yourself and don't make your choice become a problem for other people. If you do then you deserve no sympathy, and that goes for smokes and drinkers too. There are enough warnings out there now, ignorance is no excuse.

In high school I smoked weed daily, never impacted my grades or performance and I was in AP classes, and had been in honor roll since elementary so I mean I guess everyone has their own opinions ;-;

1 RespuestaThey should be heavily tabooed by society and it shouldn't be seen as OK or normal for people to do them, but it shouldn't be illegal to take any substance. Also drug awareness should be given a higher priority in school and society generally. If people know what they're taking and what it might do to them or their lives, they will think twice about doing it. Putting them in a prison cell does nothing unless you rehabilitate them, which could happen regardless.

Btw it's gonna be short term success. Eventually the drugs will get to ya. I say legalize everything and let the idiots who use them and refuse help from family die off. If they want help good for them, but they gotta want it.
