If I had a 4k tv I'd probably buy one, but I don't and this doesn't make me want to go out and get one. Honestly the most exciting part was the 1TB HDD. Incredibly weak confrence and system IMO. I feel like they could have just rolled all that into the slim and just sold that as the ps4 from here on out. I don't see any reason for the two different iterations. Also and this is complete conjecture, but it didn't really sound like the Devs and producers were on board with this. He said there were half a dozen patches coming for first party games, and a few for third party? There are hundreds of third party games out there and only a few are getting the 4k treatment? Doesn't really sound like this has been too well received by the Devs.

1 RespuestaMy ps4's a few years old now, sounds like a plane taking off playing anything more intense than the earliest games and my local retailer has a pretty sweet trade in deal so I'll be picking one up day one. Also looking at a new display so it's helped make up my mind on that front too

Don't got a 4k and don't plan on throwing down another 400 to 800 bucks on a TV just to play games in 4k.

It would be a waste of money to me to buy either the Xbox Scorpio or the Ps4 Pro. I'm just concerned that adding these consoles with different specs will negatively effect the quality and optimization of games.

Gaming is audio, visuals and gameplay. The console will be improving one of those. So it's pretty much what I want. I have a 4k HDR tv and the ps4 pro will be the first device I own that will properly utilize it just in time for Final Fantasy 15

It's not too expensive (I thought it would be $500 at least) but it doesn't really seem like a needed upgrade. PS4 is fine how it is. Although the PS4 slim being cheaper may just lead me to finally buy one.
