I joined a friend in pvp mid match and got put on the other team, he was doing the first curse quest (7 headshot with common handcannon in 1 pvp match), i found him and repeatedly let him kill me with it so he could finish his quest (which he did). Is that cheating or naw?
-
Nope. Nothing wrong with boosting a quest. I've done it plenty of times because I dislike PvP and would rather just not.
-
No but its annoying for the other people because you give him 7 free kills and you fight together
-
Only if you boosted with a Mouse and a Keyboard.
-
No. You just helped him get 7 headshots on one gun.
#8in24
-
Who's cares, ya helped a friend
-
If you use the original rumble game type you can join together and then you are not screwing a team.
-
It's not cheating. It's helping your mate out. But you are screwing your team over.
-
depends on what definition of the word you're going by. by definition of the word it is cheating, but by Bungie's definition it isn't (as long as you are manipulating things on your end it isn't cheating.)

-
Who really cares?

2 RespuestasIt means that your friend is not good at the game. If you can't easily get 7 headshot kills in one match, The First Curse won't be of much use to you anyway. Technically, it's cheating, though. #8in24

Nope it's called cheesing. It's not cheating because cheating requires external software or manipulation of connection.
-
Nah. I did the same thing

Yeah but no one really cares

You got your quest completed. That's all that matters. The opinions of the forum are irrelevant, unless they play your game for you and pay your bills for you, and, are you! Otherwise, they are irrelevant. Enjoy your new exotic.

2 RespuestasCustom matches will be out soon. Boosting is encouraged.
-
22 RespuestasIt's called boosting. It's cheap but not cheating.
-
You are not the first nor the last, got messaged a few times to let someone shot me in the head with that junk gun
-
Sacrificing your kd for a friend? Gg guardian
-
You can already do that in classic free-for-all, so no.
-
Never admit to a crime
-
I wouldn't really call it cheating, but kills portion of that quest can be done in PVE.
-
6 RespuestasWhat is this 8 in 24 stuff?
-
I did the same. Some of these quest lines are ridiculously long and boring. Quicker they get done the better.

1 RespuestaJust a little advice boosting is cheating according to xbox terms. So you can get banned if you boost. Just letting you know I would say that same works for PS I guess
