Did the Vex USE Skolas?

With what happened during the mission Paradox, and how the Vex lured the Guardian to the Vault to help, since they can't simulate the Guardians or the Taken. It got me thinking... Did the Vex LET Skolas take the tech from the vault in with hope that he would destroy us for them? Surely the Vex CAN simulate the Fallen, right? Couldn't the Vex Minds have easily just erased Skolas entirely, or whatever that's called? Thoughts?

  • The alternate Paradox mission makes this highly unlikely. The Vex didn't want to kill us at the time of Skolas because the Vex saw no future in which they weren't Taken. However, Gurdians are paracausal. We are outside the natural laws of physics and causality. Guardians make their own fate. By letting us into the vault a new outcome becomes possible. Now that we "saved" the Vex, we are no longer safe from them.

No, because up until now the Vex don't want us gone. The Vex have spend millions of years trying to find a single scenario in which they can beat Oryx, and haven't found one. They have actually concluded that barring a totally unforeseen chain of events (in this case, us somehow killing Oryx) they're doomed to be enslaved to Oryx's will. They kept us alive, and based on Quodron and few others seemed to be actively testing us, because when Oryx arrived in system they took a massive gamble. They used us as a weapon to destroy their enemy for them, and cleanse the Vault of his power.

    • Stop overhyping the Vex. All they know how to do is imitate.

      • Give skolas access to infinite troops through a time loop, lets those infinite troops take over the solar system, then delete them. Perhaps

        • The vex In this system are greatly weakend due to us killing a shit load of their minds. And their ability to repair timeline -blam!- ups. And their ability to regulate their gate network in sol. So basicly all skolass had to do was brute force his way though (Which going by the pile of vex units lieing around) is pretty much what he did. Simulations take time to run given we wiped out most their minds I would say they have lost the ability to react fast enough. And have lost the ability to undo damage too
