Ive decided to help you people who don't know how this works with some info on how exactly this game is meant to be played. Are you ready? Here we go!
Do you see those little ribbons of text that say what we need to balance teams? Yea that's there to help you. Not for you to completely ignore.
Also which number is bigger? 6 or 1? That's right 6! So how about we don't rush in there by ourselves when it's a full team waiting for you.
Also you know that little cart that we push in some maps to the end of the trail? Yea we have to actually be near it for it to move. Crazy I know! But that's true! So how about we not go rushing 3 miles ahead of it hunting down other players. Because what's the name of this game? That's right Overwatch! Not Call of Duty.
Also did you know that characters have certain abilities that help their teammates? I know now I'm talking crazy! But it's true! So if you see a Reinhardt with this thing called a shield up, how about you fucking use that to your advantage. And if an Ana powers you up when you have full health and your ult, how about you get in there and wreck shit instead of running away torward something else like a little bitch.
And now you know how to play Overwatch! Please learn to put this information into your brain so I don't keep losing on placement matches, which gives me low rank, which means I have to play with even more idiotic players. Thanks!
Sincerely,
1 of the 5 PS4 players in the world who know how this game works

2 RespuestasHaven't played the game, but that's funny right there I don't care who ya are!

8 RespuestasThe simplest thing I can say to make you good at overwatch. If you're doing bad or getting countered, SWITCH. CHARACTERS. We could always use a second tank/support.

Editado por Gomly1980: 9/4/2016 9:02:01 AMPlayed it at one friends house on PC and it was ... glorious ... to steal a theme song. The group I used to play with all had it on PS4 and if I ever played when they weren't online it was painful. I'm a healer mainly. Most of the time i'm on Mercy but if it's a bad group that needs constant healing i'll switch to Lucio to make my life easier. I always get a giggle when Genji starts shouting "I need healing" despite being nowhere near the objective like i'm going to leave to objective just to heal him. I get it, he's there to harass, well i'm not. Stop asking for heals, you aren't on the objective then you are on your own. Why is it, whenever I played Ana, as soon as I nano boost a Roadhog he heals himself? 5 players have picked their characters. We have Mercy, Reinhardt, Genji, Soldier, Pharah ... the 6th person joins ... and picks another Genji. The defenders have a Winston and Symmetra that keep smushing the Genji's .... they don't switch. No matter who it is I see play a Genji from Seagul to random numpty 1 ... why do they always try and parry Winston/Symmetra/Zarya? Why do PS4 Bastions struggle to stop shooting when a Genji appears in front of them and hits parry? I hate Hanzo. I hate him because so many people pick him yet can't aim for shit. The only kills I see them get are with a scatter arrow fired at the floor, they even miss with their ults. Edit- A lot of downvotes going on, shit tier Genji mains are out in force.

42 RespuestasEditado por shredder604: 9/4/2016 11:33:53 PMI don't understand the "playing with randoms is why I lose" excuse. The other team is almost always made up of the same people in terms of who's in a party and who's not. It completely invalidates that excuse. Also, Edit-(yes you may be placed with a bad team now and again), but when you lose 8+ times in a row, it might not be your teammates every time. Edit: Not talking about getting matched up with randoms who are bad, more so the excuse that lack of communication caused the loss, as the level of communication is the same between teams almost all the time.

MFW when im currently 6-2 in placement matches and my highest in season 1 was 57 and ended on 50 FML
-
9 Respuestasthe problem is nobody likes to be the supports. everyone has to be the attackers/dps. just like when im playing eso on ps4 the dps and tank estimated wait times are 1 hour+...healer estimated wait time is 1 minute 24 seconds...
-
This also applies here

5 RespuestasAs a side note: for rank gain I noticed that two supports are essential for winning smoothly, yet two supports hurt the rank gain of both players. Especially Zenyatta/Ana players. They dont put out enough consistent healing OR damage to be on par of the likes of Lucio for healing or McCree/Reaper for damage. So they always end up with a sub-par medal haulage.
This is coming from a Zen/Zarya/Lucio main...
Ignore the need defense hero ribbon unless you're competent with mei on a really chokepointy map (ie dont use your -blam!-ing ice wall to let them take ground, use it to isolate enemies)

2 RespuestasOnce an Ana accidentally nano-boosted me while I was playing as Mercy. I made her proud and killed her daughter with my pistol.

7 RespuestasThe players I hate are the ones that MUST be Genji. No matter the situation, they just have to play as Genji. Now a good Genji is a nice addition to the team. But more than likely, if the player is picking Genji as the fourth attacker when we need a healer, they probably aren't good. And then they refuse to switch. No matter how terrible they're doing, they refuse to switch. Go into quick play or vs AI if you want to Practice a character. If you're going to screw your team over because you just HAVE to play Genji, then you shouldn't be on competitive.
-
I usually don't run into these issues anymore. If I do, it's usually just one person, and my average 15,000 healing a match can make up for it.

Xbox is so varied it's unbelievable. Here's how my placement matches went: -Win, loss, win, feeling pretty confident. Teams were skilled and respectful, an used communication commands well. -3 losses in a row. Team kept trickling in despite my best efforts, and/or didn't know the definition of the words "objective" or "team comp." Took a salt break and picked up tommorrow. -3 amazing victories where we stomped the other team, in complete contrast to the last play session, moving on to my final round where 2 people on my team quit. -Still climbed up to platinum 2 games after placement
wut?
1 RespuestaAlso... Dear Ana's before you supercharge me maybe you should heal me so I don't have 10 health when I get supercharged..

Editado por AkikoKumimo: 9/5/2016 9:28:31 AMI'm the one that does his job... I'm thinking you're the other one.

Which is why I stick to snipers. Lemme cover your ass so I don't have to rely on you to do the same for me.
-
Console Players, myself included, should learn how to aim.
-
So this applies to only competitive players? Great
-
1 RespuestaSo I shouldn't auto-lock Hanzo???????
-
1 RespuestaIt's a bitch on Xbox too. What's that?! We need a tank and a healer?! Time to be the third Reaper!
-
2 season is so bad compared to first. Every single game I've had is a landslide.
-
What's also stupid is that they have mic but they don't talk for shit
-
1 RespuestaAlso, please stop leaving after your team looses the first round. Almost every time I play and win the first round, there is only one player left. It happens to me, also.
