Very timely with an election at stake. This will be used to silence trump supporters. Guaranteed.

Perhaps. Then again, the videos uploaded showing Trump supporters being attacked as they'd leave a Trump rally were originally posted on non-monetized channels. Those videos did a lot to make Bernie and Hillary supporters look bad.

So... YouTube's enforcement of it's rules may have little to no impact on the election as users will post videos pro or con either candidate regardless of whether or not it can be monetized.

Except for channels like "louder with crowder" which are nothing but political channels. This spells the end for Youtubers like him.
Before someone flips shit over my example, it was just that, an example!
Some are already looking at selling t-shirts, mugs or collectibles to keep their channels going. Crowder already does this so he may be ok.
-
I think he has a big enough fan following that his merchandise can keep him going. He also tours and has speaking gigs. (Where SJWs yell, scream and try to shut the event down.)
-
Didn't realize he had merch! That could save his channel. The only foreseeable issue I can think of is, are there enough people that watch him and like him enough to buy his stuff? I beleive he has around 430k subs.
