I honestly don't see any villain coming close to oryx for the rest of destiny.

Oryx sucked. Compared to the way he described in the lore he was completely underwhelming. Now Skolas was a true badass. He broke into the vault, stole vex tech and almost United the fallen. He is the only "high" end game that kicked kicked ass instead of having his mechanics do it for him.

Thank you
-
No problem you evil bastard.

Editado por Pocket Fox: 8/28/2016 6:02:38 AMOryx the in-game villain didn't come anywhere remotely close to the Oryx we read about in the book of sorrows lore. They built him up to be the most ultimate bad ass in the history of the universe........then he gets killed by 6 guardians with bullet guns. Boom, just like that. So lore-wise, no, nothing will ever top Oryx. But within the actual game itself, I think the Cabal emperor could be pretty amazing.

Editado por doobiecloud: 8/28/2016 10:21:57 AMThe oryx you remember from the Book of sorrows was when he was at full strength, his court was in tact and fed him consistent tribute, his son became a legendary demon through the course of time after oryx threw him into the vex gate network and fed oryx tribute consistently as well , his daughters were both alive and strong. You have to realize how weak we made him, it was the whole point of everything that we do from slaying crota, his court, the warpriest, golgoroth, and both his daughters, we literally wiped out his tribute thus greatly reducing his power. I could pull out a bunch of quotes from the grimoire but I think you get what I'm saying lol. Lore wise he is actually pretty accurate from kings fall in his throne.
-
To be fair, in game, our guns didn't damage him

The Cabal Empire would like to have a word with you. They have much better tactics than other races and factions, including Guardians. They also have an entire fleet being brought to Jupiter, considering the Skyburners' distress signal.

Thanks for the correction. I can't go back and edit it though.

That's weird. Typically you can.

No way, they're just a bunch of fattys

Editado por Sd Kfz 1824985: 8/28/2016 5:37:18 AMThey may be slow, but remember, they undergo years of training.

Pls no cabal raid I will get knocked off the map again by them ;-;
-
bungie hears all right so let's make a jumping mechanic that has you utilize the cabal shields

We didn't get any sword logic from "killing" oryx. (Oryx is dead, but we didn't kill him) Who knows how powerful savathun is with quria?
-
We did kill him, but we denied the sword logic to prevent his fate loop from recurring.
-
I think the Vex can top Oryx. Manipulation of time and they re-constructed an entire planet, Mercury. Wiping people from existence and I am sure Mercury will be an explorable planet (Patrol). We'll have to go there someday to stop the Vex.
-
Oryx smacked Quria when they first fought. The Vault of Glass is the vex attempting to mimic Oryx's throne world. The Vault is the only place they control time. The Vex are really not that powerful outside of the Vault.
-
Guess Oryx really is powerful if he's taken hundreds of worlds...but I feel an event will happen in Mercury that could...COULD make the vex more powerful than Oryx's feats. If not, I concede.
-
Nope Quria wad defeated by oryx
-
Oryx was never inside the vault of glass so...
-
The vex tricked the guardians to help them stop the taken that got in the vault
-
I think that the Cabal Emperor, and the Kell of Kings will also be worthy adversaries. I've also heard that some Vex minds are the size of planets, I want to fight one of those.
-
Yes to all that!

Why thank you! :)
