I think it's balanced, at least at my end of the scale. I only started with pvp around February as I couldn't bear it in year 1. I played just enough to get Bad Juju and those games were literally the worst hours I've EVER spent in my many years of gaming! I enjoy it now but the basketball-esque twang of Thorn shots scarred me forever I'm afraid!
