Okay, I thought they said, "Smart Loot System".
I've gone almost 50 Dead Orbit Rank ups since the April update.
I've gotten mainly Scout Rifles, Fusion Rifles, and Helmets. It has been that over 90% of the packages have been guns...
I've gotten maybe two or three gauntlets, and two boots. I received a class item once a while back.
The one item I have yet to have drop since April is that Spektar Chest Piece.
Seriously, what's so smart about the loot system when I constantly get the SAME GUN and no chest piece. Where's the variety? Where's the intelligence? I've had it with Hung Jury's.

1 RespuestaSmart loot was for legacy engrams. That's why you get things you didn't have when you opened one first. Other than that this game pretty much says Eff you and your time.

1 RespuestaI believe the smart loot system was really only in reference to ships, shaders and legacy engrams. Other than that it's just the light level awareness.

9 Respuestasman you simple ass minded people just can't get it huh..... if I had 280 primary 335 secondary 335 heavy 335 helmet 335 chest 335 boots then the game knows I need a higher light primary so it will drop one just try it people. I've gotten every "rare" weapon that the game can offer by doing this. longbow, grim city, shadow price, 2in morgue, Ash factory, ect

"Smart loot system" refers to legacy engrams being more likely to give you something you don't already have. Everything else is the same rng it's always been.

My NM Titan took forever to get the arms, my DO Warlock the chest, my for FWC Hunter it was the helmet. Yesterday I swapped all 3 to a new factions, burning 3100 motes and roughly 40+ stacks of heavy synth. I got lucky and got a full set of FWC spektar for the Titan, NM on my Warlock is only missing the boots, and DO on my Hunter is missing the arms. Luckily though I was able to get all three to rank 25 for the exotics. Now Im just hoping I can get those last 2 pieces before RoI drops so I can swap to the last faction for each if them... which is probably going to be after RoI drops, 3 weeks isnt that much time to grind 75+ ranks... although in 4 hours time I can get 2 ranks in a faction with a booster by just doing strikes.

2 RespuestasGot the same problem as u but i got ONLY helmets, No other armor or weapons ONLY HELMETS. I know there are lots of snipers but dayum i dont need that much head protection.

3 RespuestasYou can get multiples of the same weapon / armor, but if the stats aren't identical, the system identifies them as different.
