So many people spouting off about how bad charities are. I'll make a wild guess and say 99% of them are regurgitating information they read or saw on TV and they have no real idea of how charities work.
When your kid is in trouble and you are faced with insurmountable bills, come back and tell me how messed up the system is after they help save your child and keep you out of bankruptcy. My son is alive and I'm not bankrupt today because of these "corrupt, rich charities."
Priorities people. You will get them straight someday.

The biggest charities use very little of the donations for the actual thing they are funding... do you really think that the major chat workers work for free? Or the buildings are free? Or the utilities for reasearch? Or just getting stuff to where it needs to be. There are so many COSTS in an charity almost nothing ypu give is actually going to what you think it is. And twitch for charity? Almost all them wouldn't be there if it wasn't a free advertisement for their channel

There's been a cancer cure for decades. waste of money. You'd have to be really naive to think there isn't nefarious intentions.
-
Nefarious intentions... I give up.

Your tinfoil hat is slipping. Might wanna adjust it lad.

Actually, your system prevents more lives then it helps. You assume these corrupt rich charities are actually helping people when you see in person who the money goes to. It lines the pockets of the same people who raised the money in the first place. If you believe a charity is a good thing, Then you've ignored actual people in need

Seriously, I don't give a shit about anyone else or who has what money when my child's life is at stake. He's alive today becuase of charity. Selfish? I'm a parent who would do anything to save their kids. There is worse evil in this world than a charity, believe this Army vet.
-
Army vet lol.

How is that funny in that context, or in any way, really?

Well. St. Jude is an institution above reproach. The people that work there are saints. There are charities to watch out for but this isn't one of them.

Thank you.
