So I heard this rumor from my friend saying that whenever you get sniped through a wall, it's this system that says "that snipe was close enough, we'll give you the kill" and the person ends up dying behind the wall. So is aim assist really your own legal aimbot?

1 RespuestaIt's latency. Pure, unadulterated cancer, latency. Only in Destiny™ They shot you (on their end) before you turned the corner. You were notified of the kill after the fact, essentially.

Yea their has been times where I'm completely out of view..

3 RespuestasIts actually a combination of aim assist with an intentional game mechanic. As far as i know there are 2 ways "shooting a target" can be done in a video game. Actually animate the bullet and speed and trajectory and all that jazz or the other way is like the NES zapper light gun. Destiny uses the zapper method and i hate it

Oh also every gun in the game has that "close enough" thing except snipers, but what snipers have is helping your reticle lock on and help you drag your scope onto a targets head
