Iron Banner feedback

So after my post from the previous IB I thought I would share my experiences again. Simply put, it was terrible. Matchmaking is at all-time low and latency is rampant because of it. Games regularly started without full or even teams (my favourite was starting a game with myself against 6 opposing players) which normally lead to one-sided games. Red bar players regularly topped the scoring, despite Bungie claiming that players with a poor connection should not gain an advantage. I also witnessed at least one red-bar player in every match. I'm including screenshot links below to some of the worst offenders during my 20 or so games in the last IB, but don't imagine for a second this is all of them. In addition, spawning was terrible. I had instances where both I spawned in front of enemies and they spawned in front of me. Why has this suddenly started happening? I took the liberty of recording all of games to get an idea of score spread and Win/Loss percentage. It certainly felt that any wins I gained were incredibly close (within a few hundred points) but the losses were almost always one-sided. These are my findings: Games played: 21 Games Won: 7 Win percentage: 33% My team's average score: 8443 Opposing team's average score: 9714 I would certainly expect the averages to be closer if matchmaking was working correctly (a average difference of more than 1000 points is ridiculous) and the fact that my win percentage is significantly below the 50% Bungie claim to aim for shows that matchmaking is not working correctly. There is also the issue that the connection bars do not seem accurate as I have repeatedly witnessed players with a green-bar connection ignoring damage and skipping around the map due to latency. Disclaimer: I'm not implying anyone is cheating. The vast majority of these issues seem to be caused by being matched up with people far away or genuinely having poor internet. My issue is entirely with Bungie's matchmaking and peer to peer system. In addition, you can see that I constantly have a green bar connection, so the issues are definitely not at my end. 4 man fireteam with at least 2 bad connections http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679144 Lead to this: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679144 All but one player went positive. Entire opposing team lagging (not IB) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679191 Seriously?!? (Not IB) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679196 Another red bar on top http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679197 4 red bars in one lobby http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679198 6 poor connections in one game http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExtremeSteveVD/screenshot/4679199 So, in conclusion Crucible matchmaking is broken. What I can't understand is that Bungie decided to test some new matchmaking settings in the Control playlist. The response was overwhelmingly negative so why were they implemented in the other playlists too? For a company that loves to say "we are listening to our players" you seem to be wonderful at completely ignoring them. There are multiple thread daily about the issues in Crucible (the thread referring to the recent matchmaking changes had over 3000 responses and not a single up-vote and was "mysteriously" removed) and you are ominously silent on the matter. People are stopping playing or cancelling RoI pre-orders because of these issues. Even a statement saying "we are aware of the issues and are investigating" would be a start. In addition, why are people with a poor connection still clearly receiving a benefit? Wasn't the "damage referee" supposed to fix this? Please could we have a response to these issues that have been going on for months now?
