Bad perks will always be in this game because it increases the grind, which in turn increases playtime, which in turn increases cash for bungie

What? I've already purchased the game and I'm not spending any money on silver, so how does me playing the game equal more money for Bungie? They have to pay people to do maintenance on servers and debugging, etc. as long as people keep playing.

They get more cash from investors and Activision. If they can show that millions of people are playing the game still after 2+ years, Activision and other sponsors are more likely give them money for a game that is thriving. Plus the gamers who are still spending money on silver, more gamers still playing means theres a higher chance of gamers who are willing to spend money on silver
