1 RespuestaEditado por Kova XCX: 8/30/2016 11:21:46 PMThe reason atheists think that Christians are stupid is because of this. Evolution has been proven and is fact (don't try and argue against that) so therefore, Adam and Eve didn't exist (fact) and without them there would be no first sin and without that there would be none of that Jesus bullshit
also, a talking snake? Really?
Another reason is if stretch your arms out and picture that as a timeline the cells on the tips of your fingers is how long humans have been around and to think that a couple of people 2 thousand years ago that didn't even know that the earth was round figured it all out is just fcking stupid. I'm not trying to be rude but it just is. Also if you look up at the sky at night and see all of those stars there, that's only and tiny little circle in the Milky Way of what you can see. So to think that some people a couple thousand years ago on some random planet figured everything out that didn't even know any of that is again, fcking stupid With this whole thing I wasn't trying to be rude I was just trying to get you to understand why atheists think that Christians are basically retarded

1 RespuestaWe live in a world of self-absorbed ignorance. Everyone's opinion is fact, and their own preferences are better, and more important, than yours. No one can enjoy something without being criticized for it. Somewhere a long the line we stopped debating our opinions to find facts, and started arguing "why I'm right." And instead of listening we just wait to talk. That's just my opinion, but if you disagree I'll report you.

No
But you're still stupid

*sets up bleach stand
It's not stupid until you start shoving it down people's throat.

17 RespuestasNo, God is awesome.
-
3 RespuestasFaith can not be stupid, however what you do regarding that faith certainly can.
-
1 RespuestaThat 17% that said yes is obviously those edgy 12 year olds starting shit again
-
2 RespuestasBelieve whatever you want to, don't believe whatever. I myself don't believe in a god, but hey whatever floats your boat. Most people that call Christians stupid are just trolls anyway who are looking for attention.
I have been proven beyond that I have to prove my name. The word.
-
If you don't force your opinion and relgion on others, no you're not stupid. If you do though... You get the idea.
-
No, I don't think you're stupid. The only people who are stupid when it comes to these sorts of topics are the close minded. If you can't hear people out and digest new ideas, congrats. You're indoctrinated, religious or not.

10 RespuestasHaving a set of beliefs on a matter which can't be proven or disproved is not inherently foolish. Having such beliefs and failing to question them every now and then, is something I would classify as foolish, only because everything needs to be questioned every now and then. If they still make sense to you, and no counter-evidence has surfaced against it, then carry on as you see fit. However, if something starts to not make sense, and/or a decent amount of counter-evidence has been built up against you, then it might be worthwhile to reassess what you believe and why you do so. Intelligence is the ability to adequately collect knowledge, wisdom is knowing that any knowledge gained is worthy of questioning, or at least that's how I choose to see it. Though, that's only my perspective, I know that others may disagree.
-
Believing something without adequate evidence is foolish, yes. And there definitely is not adequate evidence of a creator, much less Christianity's specific version of that god. But it really isn't your fault. People tend to believe things, no matter how foolish, that are repeated to them their whole lives. That is why religion is usually passed from parent to child.

1 RespuestaI don't believe in God or anything like that. But if I'm proven wrong with physical evidence I will change my mind. I don't have issues with people and their own beliefs its just the people who stand out the most that make the stereotype for an entire group that make me hate some religious people. Nothing wrong with believing in a religion though it's just what you believe and don't let anyone tell you what you believe in is fake. Everyone's different there for everyone will have different opinions.

I mean, though there isn't full blown proof, we believe he's there whenever we need him

Editado por Cultmeister: 8/26/2016 1:11:16 AMIs a man stupid for believing in the Loch Ness monster? Or another religion different to yours? If you think he is stupid, then you should think you are stupid. A belief is something you think that has little or no objective evidence to support it. Ethics are sets of beliefs, for example, not scientific facts. (That people suffer is a fact, that suffering is wrong is a belief.) Whether you consider objective evidence a requirement for legitimately holding a belief will affect your assessment of whether religious beliefs are sensible or not. Personally I am on the fence. I don't consider religious beliefs correct in the slightest, but that's not simply due to a lack of evidence supporting their many claims. It's about the ethos that religions cultivate that I have a problem with. I wouldn't regard religious people as 'stupid'.

5 RespuestasThere's no proof of either side (atheist, Christian) so I say it's just opinion.
-
13 RespuestasHere's my view, not that it matters or that you need to be offended by it, just sharing. I'm a Christian, raised in a Christian family, sacraments etc... But I am deeply anchored in science and allow that to be the most influential aspect of my decisions. The reason I don't become atheist, is because I have nothing to lose. I continue to be a Christian, which isn't that hard, and have a chance, albeit incredibly small to have eternal life. On the other hand, I could be atheist and live my life in a very similar way to how I do anyways, and have no chance at eternal life. So it's a low risk, high reward scenario, what's there to lose.
-
2 RespuestasNo you're not stupid for believing in God. You're stupid for NOT having your own opinion and blindly following your church and parents lead. Don't be a sheep man, all mainstream religions are ridiculous if you take them literally, which every Christian church does.
-
1 RespuestaWell it's not as if anybody knows what's really out there. Morons like Lincoln will tell you they do but at the end of the day everyone is ignorant to why we are here or what actually created us. Ignorance is not stupidity, therefore you cannot be stupid for simply believing in God.
-
1 RespuestaIt's okay, Harambe was real

Everyone is stupid

2 Respuestas

God cannot take human form. "He neither has father, nor mother, nor sons nor brothers." "Burnt be the mouth that asserts, the Lord takes birth. He is neither born nor dies; neither enters birth nor departs."
Jesus is NOT a GOD
-
3 RespuestasNo, and anyone who tells you that you are is just ignorant of your right to believe what you want to believe.
-
It's stupid to think that way. You either believe or you don't. I do not and I respect others beliefs and feelings.
