It sucks not really having friends that play this game...
I really do enjoy destiny. Kinda got into crucible and it's a decent way to pass the time between IB's and when the occasional member of my clan in on and able to join up in a two man fireteam for whatever. I find though, that I don't have as much fun when I can't just jump into the raid with readily available friends/clanmates or dig around my friends list to go grind CoE (which I've yet been able to do) for an hour or so.
Before anyone says anything, I've tried LFG... I get a few returns... not normally enough people for a raid, and they normally dip on me because I can't always be on my headset. Either way, how do other solo players make this work?
Edit: Actually got a lot of replies, more then I was expecting. For those who offered and are on Xbone I will probably drop you a message or friend request within the next couple days. Works hectic this week so I'll be playing at night mostly but hopefully it will even out near the end of the month.
Edit 2: The positivity is very welcome. It's good to hear that there are still people around who enjoy playing with random and are willing to just jump in. I will try and get to replying to people as soon as I have more time. And thanks again to everyone but even more to those willing to just jump in and play.

Im in the same boat. Just this week I started playing again. Im on X1, gt is EchoFusion17 Warlock light 312. Did one raid on hard but really just skipped through it. Other than that I havent been able to do other raids or PoE because I dont have a group. Add me and Ill play when I can!

2 RespuestasI don't bother, I quit everything PvE and play pvp (crucible,IB.) Now, there are active groups in the forum here for whatever you console is on. Post what you want to do and wait for others to take you up on your offer. I've found an active group, too little too late as I lost interest in the fireteam required PvE, but look for a group specified for your console. Good luck!

2 RespuestasI cam really relate to this topic. I've never done King's Fall, and taken part in but never completed the y1 raids. This is partly because I don't have the time, and partly because I have no friends that play destiny. However, I found the april update useful as CoE was a much shorter and smaller activity, so I could make a post in the recruitment forums and be playing about five minutes later. You probably didn't need to read all that but anyway, I'm on xb1 (same GT) but it sounds like we won't be online at the same time. I also prefer not to use my mic.

8 RespuestasI completely solo destiny. The closest I get to having a fireteam is when I'm paired with randoms for crucible, strikes, etc. I have never done a raid, but I still find fun in what I do. But feel you, it sucks not having people to play with. I guess it's my own fault for not having friends, but you know, we can't all be perfect.

Its the actual marketting strategy. Make the game enjoyable only with friends, offer little to no options for solo gaming. That way you will encourage your friends to buy the game as well, and the season pass. Thats just more money to Bungie and Activision pockets

2 RespuestasThe real problem is being so calm when you play so that no matter what happens, you don't get salty at all and just laugh it off, but your friends end up ragequitting and leaving you all alone.

Yup it is frustrating to play with people from lfg. I cant tell u how many times i have been in a raid that was left incomplete because people left for triffle reasons.or groups that i enter but the creator is no more interested in doing the activity. However i have found one good lfg site that is 100.io its way better than bungies recruitment system.

the100.io Literally the best way I know of to find a group. Yes, I know the url extension is strange, but the site is legit.
