They have a contract with Sony. You should have bought a PS4. They are not going to break a contract, because a few people are making posts on the forums about it.

It is a 1 year contract, this means that after a year the exclusive stuff is released, Xbox will get them. Bungie literally broke the contract by doing so and . . . treating the Xbox community like shit
-
You have no idea what the exact terms of the contract are.
-
Yes we know
-
Please post a copy of the legal agreement between activision and sony, so everyone can know. Thanks!
-
All that means is that More people need to stand up and be heard about this issue. People on both consoles needs to stand against this behavior
-
Stand up and be heard? Video games are a business, not a civil rights battle ground. As long as there are companies willing to pay for exclusive rights, then devs are going to keep selling those rights to them.
-
And you really thing that they will keep making these deals if a majority is actually standing against them and not supporting them anymore? Customers ultimately have the power to stop this behavior. Once gamers realize this we can take a huge step in the right direction and stop companies from screwing half the community
-
Yeah, well good luck with that. You have way to much faith in the gaming community. Nothing is going to change. Exclusivity contracts are nothing new, and they are not going anywhere.
-
-blam!- that

The taken king advertised ps exclusives till fall 2016. Now with roi theyre changing it to 20. I only want zen. Ps can keep its strikes and other shit. (Pls take back undying mind)
-
The fact you're defending this is disgusting. If the exclusives for Y2 were meant to be released in 2017, they should have said so. Instead, the went under our noses and did not publicly announce this. If they stuck to their original plans as one year exclusive periods, this would not be an issue. You're in the minority here as well. The majority don't like what's happening fortunately.
-
Editado por Benzene21: 8/18/2016 5:22:40 PMWhen did they say that year 2 exclusives were going to be available in fall 2016? Do they have to specifically say when exclusives will be available? Of course not.
-
When they advertised The Taken King, they stated that they were exclusive until "at least Fall 2016". At least meaning once fall 2016 hit, they could become available on Xbox. Now they've decided to lock them away for even longer, so now they won't be available on Xbox until at least Fall 2017.
-
Editado por Benzene21: 8/18/2016 5:30:34 PMShow me where that quote is, and even if they did say that, you do know what "at least" means, right? You said it yourself. They "could" become available. "Could" doesn't mean "will."
-
Here you go.
-
Exactly. AT LEAST.
-
Yes, but following Y1 content into Y2 EVERYONE was expecting them to drop come ROI. It's misleading at this point.
-
But they set an example of this in Y2 when all the Y1 content came. Why change it so secretly? It's terrible. And what quote did you want?
-
Editado por Benzene21: 8/18/2016 5:35:39 PMThe quote about exclusives being available in 2016. Many things they did in year 1 that they didn't do in year 2. Things change and they don't always have to tell you. And it's not really a change since they didn't say exclusives will be available in fall 2016.
-
It is a contract. You do know what a contract is right?
-
No duh. It doesn't change the fact that they changed the length of exclusives to an ungodly length that hurts both sides of the playerbase. Stop defending this garbage. One year we could barely live with, but then them changing it to two underneath our noses is crossing the line.
-
Sony paid them for the exclusivity. Every single player could complain about it, it would not change it.
-
Unfortunately for now, yes. For the future? Possibly.
-
Editado por Benzene21: 8/18/2016 5:26:57 PMIt can change but not because players are complaining. If Sony decides to stop paying, I guarantee you it's not because players complain. It doesn't really affect them because complains basically come from people that DO NOT buy their product and they will still not buy it even without exclusives!
-
Money talks. If Sony keeps backing up the Brinks truck, it will stay the way it is, unless Microsoft steps up to the plate and takes it from them by paying more.
