Money Gear Konami
So, recently today, dear Geoff was watching some good sw33t YT vids, right? Mainly gaming ones, mind you gamescom has come up [spoiler]AND I WANT DEVIL MAY CRY 5 GOD DAMNIT CAPCOM[/spoiler] and I saw something.... "Metal Gear Survive"
I decide to click on this "wonderful masterpiece" and I watch it.
My thoughts?
Holy-mother--blam!-ing-god what is this trash? Seriously, I haven't played that many MGS titles (My only experiences are with Rising/Revengance and Phantom Pain, as well as the "game movies" on YT) Though, I still get a good feeling for the story (kind of) but seriously? Metal Gear is a stealth/espionage kind of game, a game where you gotta be as sneaky as spiderman (actually even sneakier than that) and if you're spotted, you're most likely -blam!-ed as you'll get violently shot and butchered by the enemy.
This is trash, seriously. #-blam!-Konami

1 RespuestaAll this talk about metal gear made me want to continue my play through it the phantom pain, and not 20 minutes into my session I had to go back to mother base for an emergency. And what do you think was happening? There were zombies in quarantine. Hideo Kojima had zombies it's MGSV.

2 RespuestasIf it wasn't called metal gear I think people would be interested. And the whole idea of requiring super strath kinda died in V. You could sneak around And that's what most people did, or you could put on massive body armor, a light machine gun, a ton of C4 and run into battle on your super armored steed.

Well to be fair a zombie survival game in the style of MSG5 is actualy not a bad idea. There are only 3 problems I see with this game. 1.Konami is going to fukit up 2.Konami is going to fukit up bigtime 3.Konami is really going to fukit up bigtime. Seriously....FuKonami

4 RespuestasLooks interesting but it doesn't look "[i]Metal Gear[/i]". They should have just made a new franchise. Then again, new IPs are rarely as profitable as established ones (that's the unfortunately reality of the business world).

That and getting all upset over a video game title seems quite sad. With that being said, it doesn't look like a good MGS game but it does look interesting. I can't say much because it's a trailer, it's impossible to form an opinion on a game from a trailer as we've seen zero game play nor do we know anything about the game. When more is shown, we'll see.

1 RespuestaIn MGS 5, you fight a man on fire who used to have lightning powers. In MGS peace walker, you can fight monsters. In MGS3, you fight a group of military people with super powers, and one of them is a ghost. MGS 1 has you fight a psychic Russian. This is not that crazy compared to the rest of the series.

I think it has promise. The premise somehow makes zombies interesting, since mother base is literally sucked into a wormhole. That's some premium grade Metal Gear insanity right there. Not to mention Konami is advertising it as a zombie game with heavy stealth, so I'm hoping the trailer is just action-oriented because Konami is stupid.
