You also forget one of each type of burn

Just some year one armour and weapon pieces and exotics, then my disused year 2 exotics and a few other armour sets I dont use. My year one gear alone takes up half of the vault space.

It seems like alot of people are keeping whole armor sets from year 1, only armor stuff I keep are my 3 favorite helmets, old ib arms, crota chest, ghost angel and makeshift scarf. All the extra armor is the strike exclusive cloaks for my hunter, srl helmets for hunter and warlock and a few exotics. Weapons I kept are Super pox vlo Crypt dweller Fulcrum Oversouls edict Vex mytho Icebreaker Thorn Gjallahorn Everything else is year two infusion fuel with the exception of 1 sniper. I don't like having a bunch of stuff on my vault or on my Guardian. I know there's no "one gun for every job" but I keep one of each type on all 3 characters burns are based on shielded enemies. And if I come across a shield I don't have a weapon immediately ready to take, I'm speced for high discipline and use weapons with Grenadier for faster cool down. Two weps each for all my characters have that perk. I might feel differently if there was a proper way to sort items in the vault but the way it is now it just turns into a cluttered mess. I don't care for clutter, be it in real life or digital. I got 2 kids and a pregnant wife that love to use the bottom shelf (the floor) for storage. Drives me nuts.

I have every year one exotic, full crota and vog armour from all 3 characters, full iron banner armour (year 1) Stuff like that, but i'm not deleting them as they are like trophies of my last victories, and if you're going to add these things into the game we shouldn't be expected to delete them after.

There's a kiosk for exotics though it defeats the purpose by holding onto all that stuff, that's why I kept the ones I was most likely to use for fun on a whim cept gjallahorn, that one I'm holding because it's my biggest troll trophy. Got it in year one from a nightfall, maxed it out and I've yet to shoot it. There's a guy in this thread that says he has 30 ships between his inventory and in his vault. There's no good reason for that. At all. I would like to see a kiosk for raid gear seeing as to how raid ships, shaders, emblems and exotics appear in their respective kiosks. Even then though I doubt they'd bother making something like that unless they brought those weapons up to current light. That's way more than just 5 exotics lol

No I keep my year one exotics because I have a feeling that one day ill wake up and they will have deleted the option to grab year one exotics, so I always keep them in my vault, plus its not the same deleting my old ones because I have memories with the old ones so its not the same just having a replica of it, it has to be the exact one. Thats one of the things that is so cool about this game, the way you can develop a love for certain guns (as nerdy as it sounds lol)

There's a few I've been attached to, the ones that stood out I kept, before they announced bigger vaults I made a big vault Wipe of everything I was holding just to have vs what I used, but I'm satisfied just with the memory and the grimoire card. If I want the gun back I just meander over to the kiosk, so far i haven't had a need to. Besides, just imagine how bad it'll be in destiny 2 starting fresh. It'd be cool if we could transfer stuff, a limited amount of stuff, but I doubt that'll happen.

You get to carry your characters over for destiny 2, not sure about vault content and stuff though The best way will probs be to allow us to bring over whatever is on our characters at the time, that seems like a decent way to me. That way we won't be completely gearless but can't bring over everything. If they do do it that way ik my icebreaker and vision of confluence will definitely be in the roll.

Icebreaker has to come along for the ride no questions asked lol idk what I'd pick for my primary. Either super pox or my grasp of malok. The rest is kinda meh lol
