While I enjoy Titan Skating, it's not actually within the design intent of Titan's improved control perk. Improved control is supposed to be it's finesse jumping perk but instead people have found how to manipulate it into a better Catapult. It is an exploit.
It's clear that it wasn't meant to be combined with defensive perks like Force Barrier or Jaggurnaut. And with all the complaining about Titans of late, we all know what's going to happen. I'd rather them fix an exploit (and buff catapult), than break perfectly functional perks.

While it might be an exploit, titan skating certainly isn't easy to do. I had to dedicate about 20 minutes in patrol along with dozens of matches to be able to titan skate effectively. The fact that the learning curve is steep is enough for me to think that it should be left alone. If people are skilled enough to do it, then let them have it.

I'll disagree there. I never felt it had a steep learning curve. I had it down pat the day I started using it.

Then you are either an exception or you aren't maximizing the speed that Titan skating provides. I thought I could titan skate when I started a titan as well, but I didn't realize until I watched aeGaebriel that I wasn't nearly as fast as I could become. I'm not saying you're bad at Titan skating since you could very well be an exception. I just feel that it does take skill, and it should be kept for those who have mastered it.

Which is why I suggest to buff catapult. If you go try it, catapult can get some impressive speeds too if you use it like you would improved control. But Improved control can still be faster, and allow for both very good height and distance. I'm not saying take away the speed option, I'm saying make it work where it's supposed too. And to make Catapult less of a crummy option.
