According to these studies here: http://www.heterodoxacademy.org/2015/09/14/bbs-paper-on-lack-of-political-diversity/
And this one by Cambridge: http://journals.cambridge.org/action/displayAbstract;jsessionid=341D0D7E25BFE23DA0
Liberals over represent, empirically, all soft academic fields (psych, sociology, teaching, etc) and have created a hostile, discriminatory and homogenous community in the scientific fields through hiring and funding biases that are built off of biased studies such as the ones that "proved" that conservatives were dumber than liberals.
Hostility
In nationally representative polls, conservatives, liberals and moderates were asked whether they felt their political beliefs were under attack or biased against to which conservatives and moderates overwhelmingly responded yes while liberals responded no.
Discrimination
In another study analysed, 2 identical candidates were placed in front of liberal, moderate and conservative hiring agents with the only difference being between the 2 candidates being their political identity. The majority of the liberal agents openly admitting they would be biased against the conservative. Conservatives and moderates alike were overwhelmingly stating they wouldn't be biased.
Homogenous
Liberals are over represented in science fields by about 8x. Especially the soft sciences like psychology and such.
This has led, as discussed and shown through empirical data, that liberals suffer from a stronger confirmation bias than conservatives
Confirmation bias
In a study conducted, two sets of equally accurate and correlative data was presented to 150 publishing firms for scientific research. One set showed a bias against whites and the other against minorities.
The studies that "proved" (fake studies on both ends) white discrimination were published at significantly lower rates than the other set.
Lower intelligence conservatives
When analysed and attempted to be replicated, the studies that "proved" this claim was found to be heavily biased as operationally defining the right as social conservatives instead of including economic ones. On further studies and analysis, liberalism does not correlate to intelligence, social conservatives is a negative correlation and economic conservatism was found to correlate with higher IQs
The video goes into more details and allows you to view the major parts of the study and meta analysis for free.

1 RespuestaI like how the vast majority of this study was taken from words of both parties. Either side could be lying. How is this an unbiased and reliable study?

23 RespuestasEditado por Conky: 8/11/2016 1:32:41 PMDid you see that video of the guy who went to the republican national convention outside the main door with a big sign that says I love Hillary. He had people come up to him and give him high fives, take selfies with him, tell him he's lost and at the wrong convention. Next week he went to the democratic convention. With a sign that said I love trump. After a while he has a mob of angry people all circling around him shouting, swearing etc. Was interesting to see lol For those precious few who can't google : http://youtu.be/7R3BN4T6XMw

Liberals tend to be more obnoxious while conservatives have more backwards views. I think we can all agree that everyone is dumb and that the only person who's ever right about anything is me okay gn i lov u.

13 RespuestasBecause places like OffTopic offer very safe environments for discussion for liberals. It's not like liberals here get dozens of conservatives pouncing on them whenever they post or anything. Lol Circle jerks exist on both ends. Right now this place is as open to liberals as Reddit's the_Donald.

18 RespuestasEditado por The Cellar Door: 8/11/2016 4:22:17 PMAs a liberal studying astrophysics, the reason why we in academia call fields like psychology and sociology (and biology too amiright lololol) "soft sciences", is because studies can be considered valid even though they've been carried out in a biased manner. This goes for both sides of the bias. Which is why, when we in academia hear someone say, "'conservatives/progressives' tend to be less intelligent than the other," it pretty much has as much weight as an unoriginal poop joke in a comedy club.

37 RespuestasIf liberals are over represented in science fields, isn't that a knock on conservatives? It's no secret that the anti-science crowd is predominantly conservative.

6 RespuestasEditado por Flynn: 8/11/2016 12:39:40 PMWhile these biases in scientific studies are troubling, to me the liberal bias in mainstream media is worse. That bias has a much larger impact on society, which I believe also aids to what we're seeing in regards to your post.

4 RespuestasThey're scared. In order to even talk about "the problem".... there would need to be an admission of guilt. Like... "Yeah. We helped create this monster." What happened to taking your beatings like a champ, then moving forward...?
