I just can't help but feel like the calm and rational players are a more quiet majority, since this was like the only instance of hate mail I've gotten in my time playing Destiny since day one...
The forums appear to be a loud and whiny minority, who can't stand dying, ask for unreasonable balance changes, them rage when Bungie uses statistics over the hysterical cries of the "community" as a basis for balancing. (The quality of this balancing can be a bit iffy, but eh, whatever)

Well that's pretty good when most people act like this game murdered their family, shat on all of their possessions, and started WWIII
-
And that sounds pretty dead on. And the recurring problem with the iffy balancing that you speak of, is that the rational majority typically does remain more quiet and accepting of the game, while the very loud, outspoken forums constantly cry about anything and everything, and bungie makes their changes and balances based on the cries that they report coming from the forums. And it's this same ongoing process that has sent this game spiraling further and further downhill with each passing year.

Yep. It's a hell of a show, though. Gotta give it that. My personal favorite things were people whining about losing their year 1 guns, then with the April Update, those same people complain about "rehashed guns being passed off as content."

It's definitely annoying, that's for sure.
