Here is a direct Quote From Luke Smith " Elemental primaries are being left behind. They had the distinct and undesirable property of limiting a broad weapon sandbox to a few weapons.
You're free to disagree, but I strongly prefer the breadth of arsenal options, the potential of finding a better Legendary than you have to being stuck because of a damage color.
Additionally, no Legendary weapons with damage colors has the property of making secondaries and heavies more important because of their damage color. " ok here is my solution have them brought back have XUR sell a consumable Item for elemental infusion that way any of your primary guns can have a burn of your choice . You can build a load out for every situation . Not just for Nightfalls but for any PVE activity . Removing burns from primary guns did not create weapon diversity I'm still using only a handful of guns for PVE mostly SR that have firefly . And I'm sure many others can agree that only having one gun in year 2 with arc burn isn't diverse at all .

15 RespuestasEditado por DizzAce: 8/9/2016 1:34:54 PMNever gonna happen. Oh, I want it to but it won't. The reason is one symbol: $ I'd be happy to get more detailed but I'll keep it simple. When Bungie meets with their shareholders they need to prove that gamer satisfaction is on the up and up. But how do you prove people are enjoying the game using data? What data could Bungie use to prove this?? Time spent playing. The longer you play Destiny, the happier Bungie is. Anything that moves you through content faster is not how Bungie wants to shape this game, it's not how they want you to play. It's important to remember that as the game is now, no primary burns, no icebreaker, less ammo, less frequent use of supers, spindle without original white nail, it isn't more challenging, it's just longer. Think about it, without actually getting into the raid, or strikes / nightfall, do you think to yourself, "I may not successfully beat the nightfall this week?" No, you don't think that, you just start to calculate the most efficient way through. Slowly and surely, with each "balance" Bungie chips away at the methods which move you through the content faster. Primary burns do not make the game easier, they make it faster. Ironically, what Bungie doesn't seem to get, is that I and others would probably play the game longer anyway if it was more fun than it is now. Right now it feels like a chore and less like fun. I would love to see primary burns again, I just don't believe it's going to happen. I've seen the consumable idea presented before and have on occasion brought that up myself, and I love the idea.

Honestly, what's the issue? You take out an enemy shield a little bit quicker? Also using primaries with burns makes it go by very fast. Too easy with primary burns.

2 RespuestasEditado por Bella x Nutella: 8/9/2016 11:08:05 AMBump. As like most guardians now, all I use as a primary is the Hung Jury when TTK launched. I use other weapons for fun or when messing around, but Hung Jury for Nightfalls and Raids. In Year 1, I used every elemental weapon I received from the Raids, Trials, and PoE. All felt like accomplishments to get. So much for "diversity" now. Lame excuse Bungie gave just so the complaining people who couldn't do the raids would stop whining that they can't get elemental primaries.
-
I would at least like an exotic for each primary type that had the burn of your equipped subclass. The warlock specific fusion rifle perk would even suffice

Bump bump bump!!!

Hype, hype, hype. That's all elemental primaries provided. They were unique so people used them exclusively, Bungie saw it and realized they were crippling weapon variety so they pulled them, and rightfully so.

3 RespuestasHorrible idea. Elemental primaries need to stay gone

2 RespuestasThey should allow all primary weapons to roll with elemental damage.

I think if elemental primaries are a thing, I think it needs to be REALLY REALLY RARE. So that it's not out of hand like it was before. It needs to be completely RNG on ANY weapon (not just raid weapons). This would make engram hunting extremely fun.
-
35 RespuestasThe only downside is then everyone will immediately go hunt for the "new fatebringer" or "new VoC" and then that's the only primaries people will use again.

1 RespuestaEditado por BRAZACK: 8/10/2016 3:12:12 AMHe doesnt want to do it because it will make him look bad(which is what he is at his job). He removed ele primaries to create weapon diversity lmao! He took away what diversity we had when he removed ele primaries. The real reason was because we were melting their bullet sponges. so they keep nerfing us to keep us playing for longer periods of time. It used to be fun to melt stuff in nfs and strikes now the game is just bland, boring and feels like a chore. Y1 was the best, i had so much fun doing the nfs. We had ghorn , ib, fb, vision, corrective measure, bhammer and all the raid weapons. We would be constantly switching weapons depending on what we were facing. We need those days/ that feeling back. It was very enjoyable doing nf. I think ele primaries should return and we should have really hard nfs but with great rewards. We should have more weekly missions like the nf. Make the strikes more rewarding.

3 RespuestasTHERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING BETTER, or there is no point in playing the game. Why spend hours learning the raid if the best case scenario is an average gun with a 99% chance of getting a shitty roll. It doesn't matter if you spend 2 hours raiding or kicking a ball around at the tower, the result is the same. You just blew 2 hours for nothing.

Its not luke smith ... its puke smith please fix asap.

8 RespuestasThe elemental weapon system in Destiny is so stupid. It's not even interesting enough to be Rock Paper Scissors. Elemental primaries really only mattered when there was a burn on, and to that end only to make the game easy. If they were to make elements actually do something, then I'd be happy to protest their return. Until then, all your asking for is A) Blue bullets and B) Easy Mode. Neither of which I care for.

4 Respuestas
Additionally, no Legendary weapons with damage colors has the property of making secondaries and heavies more important because of their damage color.
I love how they went on to embrace that design decision by reducing the ammo reserves for special and heavy weapons. Bravo, guys. Bravo.
