New idea for guns: Jamming?
So I had an idea for guns that I would like to see. It does seem like a setback to some degree, but it would make the game much more realistic.
Here's my idea:
- Weapons can jam every once in a while
- not common
- You will have to "repair" the weapons
- The lower the weapon rarity, the faster it will jam
I also think that they should make it where if you buy the weapon or get it from an engram, it should be in pristine condition, and if you find it, it should be in a lower quality. You will then have to repair it using Weapon Parts.
What you need to repair them:
Common: 1 Weapon Part
Uncommon: 2 Weapon Parts
Rare: 3 Weapon Parts
Legendary: 4 Weapon Parts and 1 Mote of Light
Exotic: 5 Weapon Parts and 2 Motes of Light
And hey, maybe they should make it where when your weapon's quality is lower, maybe it will be dirty, scratched, and other whatnot.

Bungie just introduced a new concept in Destiny you may like, it's called "cleaning the tower before mom gets home". Next time you arrive at the tower, head to the vanguard mentor and collect your quest. Then follow the steps and clean up the tower. Make sure you stack the boxes neatly, sweep up all the spare weapon and armour parts, and return the purple ball back where it belongs. If you complete it all before weekly reset, there'll be an exotic surprise you: ice cream for dinner!

This used to actually happen from time to time, my solution was to swap weapons or reload. Not sure if it was patched or if only happened on certain weapons.

Adding different appearances for our armors and weapons as far as conditions would be nice. I've always hated how some shaders just seem to be crappily painted on while others are more professional. Maybe a new feature could be added to your shader menu to make armor appear "Pristine/new", "Worn/chipped", or "Battle-scarred/damaged". As for adding another layer of RNG to weapons with a debuff like jamming, and even item durability? [b][i]No.[/i][/b]

Oh and you can dismantle it and stab someone with the firing pin in the throat then grab your realistic shotgun and pick off Leroy Jenkins 50 feet away who was trying to capture b he had a sniper so you can drop your shotty and pick up his sniper and try to get the guys rushing out of spawn 400 feet away but you didn't adjust for the wind and whiffed by a foot while Fred who made the appropriate wind call ripped your dome off.

I don't see how this is fun or what this adds to the experience. Plus, we already have ghost bullets, so there you go. You can already indulge in the joys of your weapon not functioning properly.
