I'm not sure about this, sure enough there is a noticeable skill gap in pvp, with the level advantages disabled, but is there going to be tournaments etc?
Like halo back in the day?
-
Hah...No. Amazed there has been tournements thus far. Unless they drastically balance the game and switch to either LAN or dedicated servers I don't see it happening. Again, I don't know how there has been tournements with how inconsistent this game plays.
-
Without anykind of private match and how unbalanced the game is it is impossible.
-
7 RespuestasNope. They are doing a 360 and going the opposite direction. And I could care less.
-
Lol.....no

No chance in heeeeell

Yeah if you think it's gonna end up like halo pro gaming than your expectations for the game are way off pal. Sorry but destiny does what it does very well, and that it offers an RPG like experience to an MMO FPS game. It is pretty great at that, but geared more for the average casual gamer. If your thinking like competitive tournaments with pro teams and all that than just sorry but not a long shot

Are they going to balance pvp? Sort custom games? Buy dedicated servers? I doubt it.
-
That'd be cool but no one takes this game seriously so probably not for a while or ever at that
-
Not a chance, PvP will need to be balanced, and we all know how the developers cant do that. Instead they shuffle balance changing metas.

2 RespuestasI have hella fun playing destiny pvp,but no it won't it does have a pretty good twitch following tho
-
4 RespuestasDestiny? eSport? Hahaha, the closest thing you'll get to eSports for Destiny are the private tournaments hosted by those like Farcog. Destiny PVP will never truly be an eSport.

2 RespuestasEditado por Ken_Malibu: 8/5/2016 2:24:02 AMThis whole subject is annoying. Destiny seemed to have a model where OP weapons were obtained making progression gradually easier. I.e. complete VoG get a chance at some great weapons that make VoG easier next time round. These weapons were supposed to be OP. Throw PvP into the equation along with some super serious CoD MLG wannabes and suddenly 'balance' is required. I understand that to have a competitive PvP you can't have OP weapons that require luck or a fireteam to obtain. Meaning some have and some have not. Therfore salt is created. The problem from my point of view is that Bungie should have stuck to their original model instead of nerfing everything into the ground. Problem is without PvP hardly anyone would still be playing. To answer your question: No, not in this Destiny.

With Destiny's type of PvP? Ha.
-
Never. Destiny doesn't function well enough to provide an even playing field. Players, if put on a LAN connection would almost be playing a different game.
-
No. Destiny pvp won't ever be esport status because the pvp is so unbalanced. It'll just stick with community
