No. I do not thing that the besthesda RPGs are great. I would rather spend money on a product that is better rather than mediocre games. But that would be the more logical choice for the remaster, rather than skyrim. I would bet that the Bethesda money hoarders would have it at a full price of a AAA game like they are doing with skyrim.

Keep in mind a Skyrim remaster is faster to do than a Morrowind or even Oblivion remaster. You would have to make Morrowind from the ground up again (omitting writing, setting, etc). I can't really blame them. And to be fair, it's free on PC if you already own Skyrim, and that's a huge chunk of consumers for them.

It is free if you own all of the dlc too, I believe. Remasters are not needed, especially if it is for a five years old game. Maybe it does not matter much to many people on these forums as many of them are from the US, but selling a five year old game worth 30 dollars at full price (79.99 in my country, 90 after taxes for physical copies) is not right. Instead of remastering a game, developers and publishers should put their resources towards a new and hopefully better game.

I think this is more Bethesda throwing a bone until the new TES comes out (of which, it was confirmed that they are at least working on one). They might have had a chunk of the studio with time to kill, so they may as well do something with that time that will bring in more funding for the next TES. Like, really I don't see this as a bad thing. I don't know what in their dev cycles led them to do this, but I doubt it's some malicious scheme to recycle stuff just because they feel like it.
