All gun laws are an infringement and therefore unconstitutional.

3 RespuestasIf it's not written in the constitution it's not unconstitutional. They didn't write what there definition of a militia was in the document so it doesn't matter. Plus when these guys were alive the fastest shooting gun shot one bullet every minute of there person was skilled and under no stress. So I don't see how what they have to say on this issue is relevant at all.

6 RespuestasThe constitution was written a long time ago the founding fathers couldn't predict a lot of the problems we have today this country needs (and has ) changed with the time we can't be stuck in 1776

5 RespuestasIn a world where I'm in charge, I would ban guns in public (I'm looking at you Texas and others) except for cops. I don't see the need to take a loaded handgun with you if you need to go to the mall. However, I would allow people to have a gun at their home. This is in case you are in danger, but also limits the threat you could pose to others. Finally, I would tone weaponry ownership down a few notches in general. In some states it is legal to have a flamethrower or fire a missile. I don't see the need for (upcoming example) middle class citizens in suburbia to own a fully functional flamethrower.

5 RespuestasFrom reading these quotes you have provided, there is still no issue for preventing criminals and the mentally ill from carrying firearms.

23 Respuestas"I ask, sir, what is the militia? It is the whole people, except for a few public officials" - George Mason - Elliot, debates, 425-426 "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one." - Thomas Jefferson - https://www.monticello.org/site/jefferson/laws-forbid-carrying-armsquotation "The constitutions of most of our States assert, that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves, in all cases to which they think themselves competent, (as in electing their functionaries executive and legislative, and deciding by a jury of themselves, in all judiciary cases in which any fact is involved,) or they may act by representatives, freely and equally chosen; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property, and freedom of the press." - Thomas Jefferson. http://www.let.rug.nl/usa/presidents/thomas-jefferson/letters-of-thomas-jefferson/jefl278.php "The Constitution shall never be construed...to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms." 53 RespuestasSilly ghost, you can't have both protected rights and a centralized government (whether it be federal, state, or local).

Editado por God of Clyde: 8/4/2016 2:14:03 AMI don't get it. Who gives a shit at this point? Nothing will change in terms of guns, the government will never, I repeat, NEVER, take away your guns. At the same time, you aren't going to be allowed to walk around with a fully automatic m240b for if the government goes full on totalitarian, which brings me to another point about how in a lot of ways, constitution is sorta outdated.

33 RespuestasIt's quite funny watching that backwards nation..

Says who? I take Jefferson's stance. Its all constitutional until proven otherwise.

25 RespuestasSo you want to carry guns to defend yourself from others with guns? Who, in turn, are only carrying guns to protect themselves from others with guns? GG, 'Murica.

1 RespuestaStop this -blam!-ery dude, I hate the liberal level of gun control, but most gun control measures just make the process longer. Regular people will still have access to guns.
-
12 RespuestasLet's be real ghost, the founders could not have known that single people would be given the capability to kill so many in such short time. None of the Steven crowder mental gymnastics to refute that

22 RespuestasGuns kill people, so when people get guns you need guns to kill the people who are about to kill you. Once you arm a country to fight itself, your country wont recover.

15 RespuestasWhat do you have against guns? I'll have you know Chicago which has the strictest gun control laws in the country, is one of the most violent places in the first world. Also what do you suggest we do with all the people who work for gun companies? That's a massive industry, and destroying it like you want, would leave hundreds of thousands of people unemployed. Think about the effect of your demands next time, no one likes you sjw's for a reason

1 RespuestaMeh, a constitution that changes isn't bad. That being said. It should change before the law.
