So about that Universal Remote...
Literally the dumbest gun ever. 90% of the people playing Asylum ran Universal Remote... And even worse Bubble Titans with No Back Up Plans. This weapon is for detriments and people with no integrity. Absolute garbage. Wouldn't mind if other shotguns had shot package, but some streamers decided to show the world using Universal Remote is alright. Nerf that shit to the ground
Why I'm salty?
-100+ wins / 8 losses. Half of which were from teams of 2 or 3 Universal Remote users / Invis / Bubble Titans
-90% of deaths were from Universal Remote
-What's a primary? I don't know I haven't been killed by one this week. UR may be listed as a primary, but I believe shotguns and snipers are secondary, correct? Just cuz its in a different slot cuz of an exotic perk doesn't mean it's not a secondary.

-Bungie can't read primary and secondary statistics I guess.
I don't ask for nerfs, but this is an exception. I play the crucible enough to know what needs to be balanced or not. And Universal Remote is one of them.
"Universal Remote is a primary", no its a secondary in a different slot, but is in the same category as a Party Crasher.
Before you say git gud or troll, please inform me what your win / loss was this weekend and what weapons you died from the most.

2 RespuestasI use No Land Beyond and a Fusion Rifle and I think it is fine as it is. I struggle to get kills with shotguns, especially the Universal Remote. But I never have had difficulty countering those using them unless they are genuinely better players than I, in which it really wouldn't matter what guns they decide to use. Also, why not buff primaries? If you want people to use them more, maybe they should be usable. It's always nerf with these forums ;-;

1 RespuestaCounter it then. Use a sniper and pop that dude in the head before he gets to you. Use tlw to beat them in close quarters. Easy. Use an AR because only scrubs use tlw. The fixed now stop complaining and get better.

For the sake of transparency I will admit that in Year 1 (HoW), Universal Remote and Vestian Dynasty was my go-to loadout for my Titan, though back then it didn't synergize with shotgun kills. I still run Universal Remote from time to time on my Striker (with much better sidearms, lol), and I do still love this old junker. Back in Year 1 when Thorn and TLW were running rampant, I called for nerfs because those weapons (and subsequent others) were overused, and dominating anything else. In the interest of fairness, the Universal Remote does see a lot of use, so that may need looking into. On the accusation that the UR is actually overpowered, I have to protest; any legendary shotgun with decent range perks (or the Invective) is going to be more consistent at range than a Universal Remote. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been killed by a Conspiracy Theory or Invective while my center-mass or even precision shot at the same distance either failed to register all shots or just didn't kill them. The Universal Remote's only true advantage is that you can use your shotgun without being restricted by special ammo...a perk it shares with the faster-firing, deceptively long-ranged, just as hard-hitting Invective, which regenerates its ammo, and allows you to equip a much more versatile primary weapon. I realize that even mobile/aware snipers can have difficulty dealing with rushing UR players, but a decent fusion rifle or even sidearm (with practice) can usually deal with aggressive shotgunners. The only point I would concede to OP is that the Universal Remote is currently overused, and again, that may require some looking into by Bungie. Due to the UR's overall balance (in my opinion), I don't believe it to be overpowered, just extremely useful with the current map rotation and the current abundance of "stationary targets" in Crucible.

20 RespuestasI made this same thread yesterday and had most people defending the UR saying that it is not a problem gun and to just adapt. This gun is a plague, along with other insane shotguns like conspiracy theory d and party crasher w/ rangefinder and rifled barrel. If you defend UR, you are what is wrong with this game. It is literally the easiest gun to get kills with, has insane range, is a primary, has infinite ammo, and can be used with a sniper. Not to mention, blink or jugg/no back up plans titans is absolutely utter bs when combo'd.

Was going to argue, but you brought up a great point. Without shot package, secondary shotguns can't compete. I don't agree on a nerf, because I disagree with all nerfs, but I do see that something needs to change

People will defend it to the death but I imagine a different tune would be sung if there was a sniper that was more on par with normal snipers rather than how nlb is that could be put in the primary slot
