Its very simple people hate cops because they are convenient scape goats. They also cannot separate reality from propaganda. People do not wish to discuss the real problems that is gang culture, anarchy movements, and a culture that promotes "do as thou wilt."
1. There are less police shootings this year than last year yet there are more cops killed this year because of the hate directed towards them.
2. Cops kill more whites than blacks yet they are considered racist and prejudice against blacks only because the media focuses on it.
3. No one ever follows up on cases. The true examples of overreach and police brutality are often met with extreme consequences such as jail time. The media ignores this so it makes it seem as if the cops who were wrong get off scott-free. Yet when the evidence is in support of cops its "corruption".
4. People do not understand what cops go through and think its only a "job" yet most would not be qualified for it, they only think they would be.
5. People seem to truly believe that no one ever does anything wrong. A man reaches for a gun and gets shot he is innocent in their minds. A man with a felony record as long as my arm who attacks people on the street is a saint. And a man that actively shoots and targets cops because he thinks they are racist, as they protect a BLM march, is a "hero." People who think like this are no more than hateful anarchists who want to get away with anything.
Does police brutality happen? Yes. Is that cause to kill cops and ignore laws? No. Especially when the numbers are much lower and when a cop is in the wrong more often than not they face the consequences.

I agree. I only hope that the hate directed towards any group of people ends. Remember the holocaust, so many people died because we didn't band together. Instead we let them kill of the minorities until eventfully they would have killed off everyone Exocet themselves.
-
You realize there are more white people than black people in the US right? Proportionately, and whatever the cause, black folks are much more likely to have a violent run in with police. That point drives me nuts. Completely invalid.
-
By your logic it is rare to find black people. Larger amount or not, you could easily pick a black man out of a crowd of 1000 white men.
-
What? The US is 78% white. So of course the raw total of white people shot by the police with be greater than any other race. It discounts the proportion and rate completely.
-
Perhaps the reason for that is that black males commit, per capita, an overwhelming number of violent crimes? Notice I said "violent" crime. That's the only crime we are discussing. If police are to police the areas that have higher violent crime, as they should, that means they will ultimately have a much higher interaction rate with African Americans since they commit violent crime at rate disproportionate to their numbers.
-
Perhaps, perhaps police are singling out black males more often as well as escalating the situation more often as well. For instance: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-36732908 http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/07/14/senates-lone-black-gop-member-says-police-stopped-him-7-times-in-year.html

Hey look there's more to it than shootings! http://www.nber.org/papers/w22399.pdf At least Harvard thinks so.
-
To which I refer you to violent crime stats and resistance rates, which the study said it couldn't much control because "data was hard to find" Also your BBC article which explains that from this author
-
The BBC article also states that the numbers on how many minorities are killed by police are questionable. It also acknowledges that it's more complex than just shootings vs crime.
-
The complexities reach into the realm of racism. Actual racism. Want me to show you what it possibly could be?
-
Hey did you know that police are two times as likely to beat their girlfriends or wives? That's pretty solid evidence they are more likely to escalate a situation.
-
Nobody is singling anyone out. When you police an area that is 85% black you will interact mostly with black citizens. If a particular area has a very high violent crime rate, and most of the perpetrators or suspects of said violent crime are black, you will be looking for suspects that match the description. Pretty simple and no conspiracy theory.
-
It's not at all conspiracy, there's plenty of cases where police have escalated situations with white people too. Also, read the black GoP rep's comments. It happens, not everywhere and not all the time, but did it ever cross your mind there may be a legitimate problem?

Editado por UnclePeedee: 8/1/2016 3:07:15 AMThe media is showing you this day in and day out so you BELIEVE it is a major crisis when in fact it is a very TINY FRACTION of interactions between police and citizens of ANY ethnicity that end in violence. Every hero the media has brought to your attention, from Mike Brown to Freddie Gray to Alton Sterling, were career criminals with violent tendencies. Almost every case ended up being declared justified by Eric Holder or Loretta Lynch's Justice Dept. The media has an agenda and they are convincing you that the problem is much much larger than it actually is.
-
Sure, I think the media is sensationalist and exacerbates the issue by adding fuel to the fire. But that doesn't mean you dismiss it out right. The fact that you have person after person going record with personal experiences that back the case should be enough to do some minor reform alone. But to ignore BLM completely is just stupid, you have a significant portion of the population that lives a little afraid of its own law enforcement. That's a problem. By calling them whiners, terrorists, and liars it's not helping things. Treat em with a little respect, hear them out and attempt SOME kind of solution, even if it's just an adjustment to training I would wager it would go a long way to de escalating the current aituation. Instead we have turned into police vs black people. Stupid
-
Listen....I really doubt you are even from America. You seem wildly out of touch, no offense. What "significant portion" of our population is afraid of police? Please tell me. And don't say "black people" because black people live all over my country from Beverly Hills to Detroit Michigan. Give me an example of where exactly in this country people are afraid of police. Give me a location.
-
I'm from the US, grew up in the Midwest. Have friends who are black who feel the same way. The fact that there are protests involving tens of thousands proves you completely wrong. Every one of those protesters feels there is a problem.

-
Too vague. Those people treat protests like a frigging Woodstock: a reason to get together and protest authority...before robbing the local 7-11. Please....tell me what city lives in this fear of police. It's a very simple question.
-
I don't remember attempting to rank the threats to Ferguson, or that we were talking about the threat level of police vs anything else. Your reading comprehension is somewhat lacking.
-
No my comprehension is just fine. You mentioned Ferguson, Missouri in a conversation about police and their interactions with black people. Well I'm a place where 95% of the murders are committed by African Americans and where 95% of the victims are African american, who do you think the polices attention will be on? The Chinese food delivery man?
-
And yet most of the people in Ferguson are still not murderers, nor were the protesters. also the vast majority of the town is black, so should they all be treated like they are guilty till proven innocent because they live in a crappy neighborhood? You're trying really hard to ignore that people are in fact gathering in mass and have legitimate concerns.
-
They're gathering in mass so they can rob the Ferguson hair weave shop: http://m.liveleak.com/view?i=ff2_1407730569

Omg! I can YouTube too! Look at these protesters NOT rioting. https://youtu.be/1Xvyrx9oTq8
