I brought my k/d from .78 to 1.12 finally which was somewhere around plus 5000 kills up where I was under -3000 deaths to kills. Previous crucible and IB Control, I was doing good at least I have never been a huge k/d per game but coming out positive. After newest update, I am consistently being destroyed and coming out with negative k/d again. I am starting to tell myself maybe this is like Rocky 1 where his manager was paying off all the fights but then when Rocky went up against Apollo he couldn't beat him because he was the real deal. I know that I am no good at pvp anymore. In fact, I really stopped playing now because I cannot even compete. It seems no matter where I run to I get demolished now with two shots and just about every game is in progress. I try to go and practice but constant in progress games are no fun especially when everyone has a full charged super ready to go, everyone is amped and here comes me lalalalal and then bam ka-boom disintegrated. One game have 7 kills and 1 death had a 7.0 k/d Dropped 5 in progress games and gave me 5 wins for each for my Shaxx bounty for 7 wins. The system does work.
