It's too serious
Sure raids are fun. But you need to be on point.
Sure crucible can be fun. But you need sweaty focus.
I need to unwind some energy sometimes.
Please bring in some game modes that allow us to just have fun in D2.
Come on Bungie, you gave us Grifball and Forge!
No seriously...please bring the fun

Ooo grifball, or Oddball....yes plz!

I think a lot of the fun my team has in the raid, we bring with us. We goof around (we're never concerned with how fast we're going), snipe each other in the head, throw grenades to disrupt people during jumping puzzles. We dance a lot, pull out a variety of emotes, give each other a hard time about this or that (about how drunk so-and-so is.....just what the hell it was that so-and-so said......etc). That said, I agree with you. Just the other day I was clearing in my XBox DVR and found a bunch of pumpkin-head videos. Why don't we have more goofy stuff like that?

1 RespuestaIv been playing since day 1 but I'm also the definition of a casual Destiny player. The game can be fun sometimes. But mostly its just frustrating to the point of rage. lol
-
1 RespuestaBump. I totally agree this game is just a massive grind to get to 335 light. After that you try to have fun but can't. Then you just have to wait for the next DLC so you can grind again. Destiny is really starting to tire me out.

Nerfs that make us less powerful make the game less fun. Vigorously shooting an enemy that is fairly weak to defeat them, quickly becomes tedious.

1 RespuestaEditado por STARKILLER2258: 7/31/2016 3:02:36 PMThe problem is the game has some serious overlords that control the game on a psychotic level. Every frigging time we find something fun it gets taken away, no matter how small or harmless. Every time we find a cool weapon, it gets crushed. Find a cool way to do something, it gets patched. Punishment is higher on the list than fun. I got a friend who is a 30 year IT project manager who just started playing this game, she is an old world gamer. After 2 weeks of me explaining the stuff in the game and ending just about every damn sentence with "well it used to be better, but they nerfed it", or "yeah we used to do this but they patched it", or "we used to have this weapon but they took it away". After 2 weeks of that shit she blurted out. "WTF, they already got our money, why the hell do they care how we play the PVE side of the damn game? I had no answer, because there was none, other than the tea party princesses who control this game need to quit obsessing over what hand we use to hold our f*cking cup.

79 RespuestasHousing System: The Tower Barracks offer each player their own residence that can be fully customized. Glimmer can be used to purchase Furniture, Decorations, Color Schemes, Trophies, Expanded Storage, etc. Others can visit your dorm room and interact with the various things you have. (Chairs you can sit on, Beds you can lay in, Sound Systems that can play music from Marty's soundtrack, Private Terminal that can review the Grimoire Cards you've collected and play mini-games like in Fallout 4) Sparrow Racing League: Because why the hell wasn't this made permanent? Talk about dropping the ball... Vanguard Lounge: A recreational area at the Tower where players can watch and place bets on Sparrow Races (Establish an actual LEAGUE for it where its like Trials of Osiris and those who have the best racing stats for that week are entered to compete in a Tourney), a Game Room for players to enjoy mini-games like Pool Tables, Chess/Checkers and Poker. Just a few of the ideas I've had regarding Player Driven Content.

Bump. I agree that this game needs a LOT more fun. Raids are fun for sure, but because KF sometimes puts players in a position where they are on an island (having to jump platforms in sisters for example), it tends to highlight players weaknesses rather than let teams overcome those weaknesses with teamwork. In that way, it is not nearly as fun as the other raids, because you could always hide player deficiencies with teamwork and strategy. PVP used to be fun but it has become an all-out sweat fest. We have a smaller variety of weapons that are actually viable, and the constant nerfing of abilities and guns just makes PVP all the more frustrating IMO. For some, I'm sure it keeps the game "fresh" for them, but it is really stupid to shoot a player a couple of times, stick them with a throwing knife, and have them kill you anyways and walk away with so little health that you can't even see the red bar on their life meter. If that is supposed to make the game fresh and new, then I really don't like your "fresh new game" and I have chosen to walk away from it for the most part. I would like to add to RWG's post by pointing out that the loot system/rewards are also part of the fun we had in Y1. Sure, RNG sucked so bad because it was stingy as hell, but that is what made getting those exotics worth it. If it wasn't exotics you were after, then it was the raid gear. But when that item you were so hot for finally dropped, you lost it! Y2 is missing this sensation ENTIRELY because exotics are way too easy to obtain and the quality of items has just been eroded since TTK Launched. There is literally no single item to get excited over. All the exotics are available through quests and the legendary guns are all equally mediocre. What's more? There's not even elemental primaries awaiting you at the end of the raid or your trip to the lighthouse. Now, I don't object to some items being available through quest. It's good for casuals to be able to grind out a quest to get a good gun. But the game needs ENDGAME LOOT worth pursuing. The kind of loot that will reduce your grind. The kind of loot that will will make running strikes more fun than it is tedious. The kind of loot that will keep us logging in every reset to make sure we have run the nightfall 3x- and run the raid 3x just to be sure we have maximized our opportunities to try to get it. And it needs to be available only through RNG. The asshattery that goes on in LFG is NO EXCUSE for not having weapons like this. Getting rid of G-horn did nothing to fix the elitism. All it did was change the requirements the elitists imposed upon others out there. If you don't want to deal with elitist people in LFG, try branching out of your comfort zone to meet people. Build your own fireteams. I only had 2-3 people to play this game with until I was level 25 back in Vanilla. An old friend from Halo 3 took me on my first raid. Pretty much carried me through a normal. And I knew that if I wanted to be able to go back through the raid on a regular basis, I would have to learn the raid and branch out to meet other people to play with. So that is what I did. I picked the brains of raid vets that took me on the next few raids, I started helping people out whenever I could, found a few keepers. Recruited some players from Game of War and trained them to play Destiny (which was their first FPS for many of them) and worked with them until they were raid-competent. LFG Elitism. PVP Balance. These are no excuses for giving us really crappy, lackluster endgame loot. And RNG being stingy for players? I do sympathize, but it really wouldn't be such an issue if Bungie didn't insist on making everything become obsolete upon the launch of the next DLC. IMO, this game could be REALLY FUN once again. But it's going to take a wholesale reversal of many of Bungie's stubborn positions on the game right now. I'm not going to invest anymore money in this game until I start seeing changes which will take the game in that direction.

Fun? What is this thing called fun? Quick let Bungie know that there is still something "fun" in this game. They'll be sure that bug gets removed. ------------------------------- On a more serious note, the game has just become the opposite of fun. All anyone does is complain anymore. Heck I caught myself doing it, and I had not played in over a week, yet it wasn't my fault that I kept misplaying. It wasn't my fault I kept rushing forward like I had no brain. It wasn't my fault I couldn't get more than 1-2 kills per trials game. It was my buddies fault.........No, it wasn't. This game has mainly become sweaty, and turned into something that debates and courtrooms would be proud of.
-
Yes.. The glory days of Bungie caring, communicating and including the community are over.. Oh howI miss Halo 3, it was by far the best experience Ive had with s fps. So much freedom, so much community activities, so much fun.. All you needed was xbox live and all the special events were open to you with no requirements and were easily accessible.. Now? We have raids, and we have sweats, and thats about it.. And lets not kid ourselves, IB is just normal crucible with the promise of better loot, thats it.

"Fun" isn't an appropriate request for this game. OP needs a perm-ban.
