I propose a zoom increase and a damage nerf for MIDA, enough to bring its damage in line with the fast rate of fire archetype
I'm confused. Since when does Mida outdamage other scouts of the same archetype?

It has the fire rate of the fast fire rate scouts but does more damage so it is a 4 head shot killer while other scouts with that fire rate are 5 headshot killers.
-
Hmm, there are legendary scouts with the same fire rate and impact. Are you saying they do less damage per shot?
-
It's also an......exotic and should never be compared to other scout rifles.
-
The first curse is an exotic.....See where I am going. They don't leave exotics alone. Doesn't matter what we thing. Weapons can't stand out any more. Don't believe me ask Thorn.
-
What does the first curse have to do with an Exotic scout rifle nerf? So no I don't see where you're going. First curse wasn't nerfed, yet that I remember. Nor is it a top 5 gun in crucible. Nor is it overused and considered annoying. So be more specific will ya?
-
Exactly First curse is an example of what the new exotic is to be. In other words not much. There won't be any stand out weapons any more. Just isn't the new thing. Damn shame too. I like powerful weapons but they are a thing of the past. That is why I still fear for MIDA. It has a lot going for it and they seem to be dead against weapons like that. They want the new exotics like the first curse or you name it from year two to be honest.
-
To me it's a shame when a legendary weapon can literally outgun most or all exotics in this game. Namely grasp of maalok or DoP. Also vendor hawksaw and almost any God roll weapon is better than most exotics in the crucible today. I still do well with mida, Monte Carlo, and sometimes tlw though and 2 of those 3 are always being complained about to be nerfed or that their too OP. I mean c'mon there -blam!-ing exotic right?
-
I don't mind legendary weapons being super with super perks but I also love POWERFUL exotics. In year one Thorn was one of my first exotics and I shot everything in the game with it. Not crucible though as I had a perfect hopscotch pilgrim and was one of the first to have it. Look at them now. People in the game just cry instead of adapting. I have always believed the only OP weapon was day one vex. The heavy primary LOL.
-
I do not have an issue with God roll legendary weapons either. It just bugs me when people compare an Exotic weapon to the rest in its class and then call it OP. It should be the best in its class imo. Vex was insane. I think suros regime was also pretty nuts too actually. And thorn/hawkmoon out gunning you from across the map was a little crazy. But I didn't care because I adapted and played to outgun my opponent. Hawkmoon never dropped for me in y1 but i did have a thorn and i loved it. I felt like I was using a godlike weapon.
-
That is the deal. Marching through enemies with a great exotic was just the bomb but most would rather cry nerf than be powerful I guess.
-
MIDA is in an odd archetype, only shared by a few scouts like High Road Soldier. I think he proposes making it an Inward Lamp type, but it's hard to be sure

Editado por killsinthenight: 7/29/2016 9:15:26 PMHis data is skewed. Mida TTK crit is .90, middle of the road. It's advantages are the 100 equip speed, 90 aim assist, 80 recoil direction, James Brown strafe and near insta-reload.
-
You hit about every point but one. That bottomless pit of a magazine. You can just spam that trigger. and spam it some more. More than one person no problem just keep hitting it. Start shooting way before you even see em. Out of rounds no problem with that insta reload you mentioned you will be back popping them before they even know you stopped shooting. There really is nothing currently to counter it. Which says all you need to know about the status of primary weapons this year. Last year I didn't use MIDA as there were just other weapons that outclassed it in legendary weapons.....
-
Jade rabbit. Both exotics. No other scout rifles need be compared hence why they are exotic.

Great point.
