Tell me which one you choose and I will gladly explain to you why the gun is balanced and then it becomes your choice to agree or keep making yourself look like a nerf herder.
Point 1: The last word plays good for snipers, because it covers the hole where snipers are weak (close-mid range) it's the perfect counter for a shotty.
Point 2: the guns base damage is close if not the same as other hand cannons, which I don't see a problem in and here's why:
If the base damaged is dropped, the ttk will be slower (that wouldn't be a problem) but then it takes 5-6 rounds to kill an enemy, making the gun only good for one kill before reloading. That would essentially make the gun hard to use for more than just a last resort. Also, if you implement lower base damage, guess what snipers are gonna do? Try quick scoping more and using the cheap body shot primary tactic even more.
Point 3: the ttk is the fastest in the game. Some see that as a problem and say "nothing can kill that fast or compete with it" but what you forget is the last words [b]RANGE[/b]. IF YOU RUN IN TO LAST WORD RANGE WITH A SCOUT OR PULSE, YOU LOSE. If you stay in pulse range, you will win more than lose, because the lw user will have to slow fire while ads, dropping the ttk drastically, making your beloved hawksaw archetype pulses ttk the fastest in that situation. Same for scouts.
Point 4: whether you like it or not, the last word is balanced perfectly now (no pun intended). It will shred you if you are in its range, but if you get close enough with a shotty you should win, or if you are good with evasive tactics and make them waste 4 or 5 shots, you will outgun them because they will have to reload.
Point 5: As for the auto rifles...THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LAST WORD. They need a serious buff (medium and high impact ARs, not your scrubby high ROF ARs. There's a reason why they were unheard of in year one, because they are a joke and have no place in a game built around precision.)

Does anyone know the range at which it drops from a 3 shot kill to a 4 shot kill and to compare when it becomes too inaccurate to maintain the 3 shot kill while ads? I can't really form an opinion without more opinions on this. Personally I think the goal for last word should be deadly upclose and less desirable than normal handcannons at midrange so midrange should be a struggle for last word and the 3 shot should only be possible in close range. I also want a damage buff to hip fire. Not enough to two shot but enough to 3 shot further than ads can.

I don't think is op, but it definitely needs to be re worked. I think making fanfire only active from the hip and returning the bonus hip fire damage would work pretty well. As it currently stands, there's no real reason to hip fire it when you can just throw on soft ballistics, perfect balance, and ADS

It's the best 1v1 close range ((not CQC)) weapon but out side of that all other good primaries will take it out ((except the weak one which are a lot)) In my opinion the problem isn't TLW it's a lot of other types of primaries are severely underpowered. Fix them and TLW won't be a noticeable weapon. Just a list of underperforming weapons [spoiler] -Suros Regime -Red Death -Hawk moon (because of phantom bullets issues) -Monti Carlo -Hard Light -F.strategy (it's basically underperforming legendary) -Ace of Spades (phantom bullets) (exotic perk that isn't useful) -Vex and Necro are good weapons but they left them behind I've only mentioned exotics but you get my point. The perks like white nail and mark of devourer and wolfpack should be restored, you guys are killing this game...exotics suck now!!! and FYI last word or universal remote do not need nerfed, but we need to be buffed back up and all the nerfs got the game unbalance, deej say I hate when you call it a meta??? 1 RespuestaAutos need buffed instead. Everything else just sucks so badly because of nerfs. All primaries take soo long to kill. Now it's just about special ammo grenades and some off the wall, out of the norm weapons like the last words fire rate.

Bungie nerfed every other primary weapon in damage except TLW. That's why its so dominant in 3v3 and rumble matches. It kills fast. I've mastered this gun to the point of killing players who were holding MGs. Any primary weapon that takes on a MG and results in trade on a win several times, is not a balanced primary. (Not pointing out the Universal Remote or NLB. Their different.) Also, bungie has to rework the range stat on this weapon. It doesn't have falloff damage and can reach some distance it shouldn't even be able to. More importantly, I can see why some players don't want Bungie to touch it. They go overboard with nerfing a weapon. I understand that. But the rest of us is looking for balance, not a weapon crutch.
