TL;DR: The Destiny 2 Feedback Forum would be a sub-forum (separate from this here, the D1 Feedback Forum). To post in the Destiny 2 Feedback Forum, you must purchase Destiny 2. To continue posting in the Destiny 2 Feedback Forum, you need to purchase the latest Destiny 2 content. [u]You would not lose your right to post here, in the Destiny 1 Forum. And, you would be able to read any and all posts in the D2 forums.[/u] Ex-players who hang around the forums solely to troll those of us who still play should not be able to post in the Destiny 2 Feedback Forum. With the exception of one ex-player – he who shall not be named – they have nothing to offer. Nothing. The only reason they are allowed to continue to troll the D1Feedback forum is because Bungie knows they would open themselves up to lawsuit by revoking forum privileges simply because a person no longer plays. But, that does not – SHOULD NOT – be the policy with Destiny 2. My suggestions for Forum Policy in Destiny 2: 1. All forum users must have a valid gamertag/PSN profile linked to their Bnet account. No more, “This account has not played Destiny.” 2. Only current players have forum privileges. The definition of “current” is up to you, Bungie. One option, and probably the easiest to enforce, is that the players have to have purchased the most recent DLC to post in the forums. Now, I am aware that you ex-playing trolls will say I’m suggesting these restrictions in order to silence differing opinions. And you know what: YOU’RE RIGHT! The thing is, the only opinions you ever share is how much Destiny sucks and how stupid we are to continue to play. This toxicity should not be permitted to continue into Destiny 2. And, I am aware that there are some ex-players who like to browse the forums and comment from time-to-time. I recognize that you are not trolls. But, all I can say to you is sorry. The constant trolling, the automatic down-voting and reporting by ex-players, and the creation of alternate accounts just to continue trolling while banned (for trolling!) has to stop. Perhaps Bungie could implement a system where ex-players can read forum posts, just not make posts or respond to them. Anyway, if you really care about this Community and this game, Bungie, you'll do the right thing with Destiny 2, and restrict Destiny 2 Feedback Forum posting to current players.
