Hunters

I fell that hunters need a buff, notice how I said hunters need a buff not Titans need a nerf, anyways they have some of the weakest Melees, Aside from smoke in certain situations and blink strike backstab. They have the weakest grenades, no gunslinger grenades can 1 shot, flux is good, but the only choice for bladedancers, and the only times nightstalker grenades are good is if a blueberry steps into them and doesnt leave, they have terrible supers, they have 3 hammers with no damage reduction, and a shorter time, a close range super that takes 2-3 shots to kill another non hunter super, and another super that isn't very potent if no one is around. Aside from gunslingers trance, I feel hunters have a very weak neutral game. (Yes I am a hunter main, but I feel that they need a buff to be on par with stormcallers and strikers) These are just my thoughts, feel free to voice your take/opinion in a civilized way

  • Hunters jump alone is a super. Glad you didn't mentioned shade step. Skip nade is pretty op. Dont hunters have a thing that tracks you behind walls? Did i mentioned shadestep? Golden gun i probably the best super in the game. Play on other characters.

    • I agree hunters do need a buff, mainly the Melee. Even though now Warlocks after that complete nerfing have been rendered useless in PVP except it's Storm caller. Warlocks are the least favorite Guardian to used .

        • Hunter supers are the only supers I feel confident in shutting down when I hear them pop. Stormcaller or sunbreaker? Run away or risk dying in a trade. Sunsinger? You can take them out easily in some situations but there are others where you have no choice but to run. Nova and striker? 90% of the time you die when you hear them pop. Now gunslinger and blade? I feel I can take them out without trading cause of their lower armor.

              • Even though my KD doesn't show it im pretty good at crucible and I main hunter, I agree the trip mine nerf was a little much but other than that I feel like hunters are a balanced class and need very little changing. and there is no point whining about it just get used to it. these r just my thoughts

                • I run nightstalker wombo combo with havoc pigeon max str/disc and I seldom feel weak. Only thing I could think that could use a slight buff is our grenades. But other than that...

                    • I'm curious to know your opinion on Defenders. Quite a lot of what you said could be applied to that class as well. One buff I wouldn't mind seeing is to the radius of effect of all burst type grenades. Incendiary grenades on the Gunslinger and Sunbreaker can potentially one-shot, but it's hard to land that hit. They seem designed more with the notion to be used against groups of enemies to force disengagement through their burn. But with fuse time working against you in the face of moving adversaries, that can be difficult. It's no wonder that every Gunslinger was using their Tripmines over their Incendiary grenades, just like every Striker is using Lightning grenades over their Flashbangs. Only Suppression grenades seem to have found any use among that grenade type, and that's likely just because the chance to shutdown a Stormtrance or Golden Gun can be intensely satisfying on the occasions one manages to pull it off.

                        • I disagree, when I'm fighting a bladedancer I get one-shotted in the face all the time plus the wombo combo is ridiculous but I agree on the supers and tripmines.

                            They're melees are perfect. The smoke is perfect, backstab is perfect although there still is a backstab glitch, but its not as often. The throwing knives are still good, you just require one extra shot too kill them now. They have great grenades. Incendiary and flux can one shot. The skip grenades are deadly and annoying as -blam!-. Wombo combo is still annoying as -blam!- just not as deadly anymore. Swarm grenades are awesome, tripmines are stilll viable. Spike grenades are actually pretty good, they're just like lightning grenades, I would say probably even better really. Their supers are probably some of the best really. GG can one shot people from across the map. BD is agile as -blam!-, lasts long and can one shot people. The tether has ridiculous range and can suppress people. Their neutral game is great. BD have skip grenades and arcbolt, health regen, blink, hops, and invis. You can literally go off the radar and -blam!- people up without them knowing it. People seem to forget that invis is a great -blam!-n perk that doesn't get any attention. GG has swarm grenades, tripmines and incendiary. They have two throwing knives that can be incendiary. Have triple jump with bones of EAO and you can annoy the -blam!- out of people by jumping like crazy. NS has shadestep, wombo combo, invis, better tracking, and tethers and hops.

                              • nah I've been Obliterated by a good hunter. Just git gud. But these are just my thoughts and feel free to disagree and hate me but then again that would make you a salty hunter.

                                • Gunslinger is probably the most balanced super in this game. High risk, high reward. Incendiary can one shot if well placed unless the DoT was nerfed with firebolts.

                                  • Any buffs need to be along side a major nerf in agility. The hunter class has higher kds because it's rather hard to shot the little suckers. That's the dishonesty I see from all hunters. They compare one ability but leave out the advantage of all hunters over Titans and warlocks.

                                    • Oh one other minor thing, hunters are last in recovery and armor, and are only the 2nd fastest class

                                      • If they undo what they did to my favorite class (gunslinger) i would really appreciate it.. I still dont get it why tripmines cant stick (if you stuck someone it was mostly luck or a great thrown) compare this with fusion/flux/magnetic grenades those always stick on you no matter how you thrown em. And i'm not gonna talk about the damage reduction... Where most people would say throwing knife headshot should be more damage, instead they lowered the damage on throwing knife, but why bungie?

                                        • Bump. Hunters need greater agility. Titans and Warlocks have unique attributes of armor and recovery, respectively, yet Warlocks are capable of the same high agility as Hunters (2 points from maximum).
