Can somone explain how this makes sense?
I am 16, and because I am underage if I found an adult willing to have sex with me and we were caught then she could go to prison, why is that? How is that fair or make any sense!
Edit: I still no reason this is fair
Edit: I live in America and didn't know the age of consent was 16, my bad

Well age of consent varies by state. But also unless you're 18 you apparently can't make your own decisions.

Age of consent is state based, check your state to find out for sure. There is a leeway in the law though. For instance a 16 year old can have sex with an 18 year old, but not a 30 year old. I believe it's usually 3 year difference and you're okay.

1 RespuestaAt 16 years of age all you do is think with your head and I'm not talking about the one on your shoulders. This makes you more susceptible to being sexually coerced into things you may not want to actually do. Speaking from experience. That is reason enough in my opinion.
