Well, I don't really talk to myself and have conversations with myself, it's sort of different.
I speak my thoughts out loud. I whisper in a low tone to myself, speaking my thoughts. Like "that guy has a sick car." or "-blam!-, I need to get home and shit" or "this user on B.net is an idiot". I don't say every thought, however.
I obviously don't do this when I feel it isn't right, or when I'm not alone. When I'm in public, alone on a sidewalk, I may start talking my thoughts. But when a stranger is about to pass, it's time to shut up.
My brother has caught me in the act, though, while I'm playing video games or on the internet. He said I should "stop talking to yourself" because it's weird and strange.
Do you think that what I do is weird?
And do you think legitimately talking to yourself (having conversations) is weird?
Edit: I think I may have been banned lol Just got a notification saying I violated something

Talking to yourelf is fine, but if you start a conversation with yourself...

1 RespuestaYeah talking to yourself is fine, and I'm guessing that when your talking to yourself, you pretend your making a youtube video about some walkthrough guide or whatever. Tell me if I'm right.

It is not weird and is actually completely normal. There are studies that say that talking to oneself is actually healthy and a way to relieve mental and emotional stress
-
5 RespuestasIt's pretty normal to me. I do the same exact thing all the time and I don't have schizophrenia yet.

2 RespuestasNot really no. I do it pretty much all the time (•-• ) (saying my thoughts out loud).
-
2 RespuestasThink of it as masturbation, everyone does it but a lot of people won't admit they do.

First off, you're asking a genuine question in offtopic. The answers you receive May and can be biased or very incorrect. Second, I do the same thing. Especially when I'm home alone. I don't do it a lot but I still do it. Sometimes I just feel like expressing my thoughts out loud. Especially when I'm angry I will rant and vent silently.
-
3 RespuestasI don't know. Let me ask human24.

Some of the most interesting consolations I have are with myself. Not aloud, just in my head.

I hold no degree in the subject but have had multiple psychologist convey to me that this is in fact very healthy and the only troubling behavior would be arguing with yourself
