Havent played ds 3 for months. Thought id get back on to see the changes.
1. Pvp manners still arent a thing yet. Still seeing gank squads
2. Meta everywhere. Gotthards/ uchikatana/havels shield players. Dark sword is gone but id take that any day spears always wreck those.
3. Parrying still too easy. Dark souls 3 still has the easiest parry of them all. I disliked parry in two but in 3 its cancerous. Especially from all directions.
4. I still havent seen darkmoon fixed. Their latest patch was also meager. When are they going to actually touch this game again?

2 RespuestasEditado por Jain Zar: 7/25/2016 7:04:00 PMI've never had any of these problems. I always see people bow before fighting, and there's almost never anyone who heals. Even if they do heal, the fight club (because I'm always there, not anywhere else) host and other phantoms drop down to gank them. I've never seen a single tower shield or twin swords other than the Onikiri and Ubadachi, which is easily countered by rolling or just knocking them out of a jump with a spear. Parrying difficulty varies per weapon. If you don't want to be parried, two hand a greatsword, or use a scythe. It's nigh impossible. The Darkmoon covenant /is/ fixed, at least it is for me.

6 RespuestasMy biggest problem there is 1. I would've thought they'd be here, by now. :(

I've been getting summoned to a lot of chugger's worlds recently. I've just started hosting my own fight clubs. You'll never be able to stop people in any game from trying to me themselves super overpowered with meta exploits like Gotthards 80ft rolling L1 or Washing pole running attacks.
-
I try to host fightclubs but there's always that one guy who ruins it for everyone. So I end up chasing some people halfway across Anor Londo just to kill them. Then I go back to the fight club area only to find all of the red/white/purple/Aldrich faithfuls killing each other

1 RespuestaEditado por Cal Exabyte: 7/22/2016 1:04:54 PMI've tried using the Farron Greatsword a little in PvP. I've had fun, especially against people who don't know how to parry. Time to cross sword breakdancing off the bucket list.

3 Respuestas1. There are no mandatory "PvP"ettiquettes in this game. 2. There are almost no meta weapons currently, except broken combos such as oni&uchi/bleed and the absurdly fist weapon combo. Just learn how to deal with them, simple as that. Meta =/= overused. 3. Parrying is a matter of personal problem. If you get parried so much, it's because you're easily predictable.

PvP manners? Ha! Hahaha! Hahahahahahahahahaahhaha!

1 RespuestaEditado por BarretOblivion: 7/22/2016 9:13:03 AMIf you are talking about all the From Software games then I would say Bloodborne had the easiest parrying by far. Darkmoon is a little bit better. I actually got summoned twice in one day but you may have to reset the game if you aren't summoned after twenty minutes. I swore the meta was rapiers, greatshields, and the lightning greataxe (can't remember the name) The only time PvP manners comes up reliably should be if you put your red soapstone down. The rule of thumb is unless you invade into a fight club then prepare for anything to be thrown at you so the host survives.

2 RespuestasThe only thing I hate is how people still think it's OK to heal after summoning a red... I thought you wanted a duel, not to just outlast your opponent because you have more estus and health...

2 RespuestasInvading is a bitch, Pontif is still civil and fun for me though.

Welcome to every game ever. If a meta exists, people will use it. 3. Yeah parrying is easy, just like 2. I don't see how that's an issue with the community, but whatever. If you don't like to get parried, do what I do. Space their attacks, only attack during their animation(if you space correctly, you'll never get hit). 4. Not an issue with the community. But whatever. They are fixing this game. Multiple patches.

A little story about #1 that restored my faith a little in the community. Be me in Irithyll at the second bonfire (by the giant fountain). I put down a sign because I felt like helping people and getting more souls. I was summoned by some guy who already killed all the enemies, and he proceeded to summon two more phantoms while I sat there. >youlittlepleb.jpg He eventually used a dried finger and we were invaded almost immediately. At first all the phantoms and the host started attacking, including me for a second or two but I stopped. The invader by now was being chased around the fountain. I walk behind them while theyre attacking each other and I spam a few "hello" stones and even one "im sorry" sign near them, then I run away then wave and sit down. >supereffective All the phantoms and even the invader came and sat by me, except the host. The host started trying to attack the poor red while the phantoms and I just sat there, cheering on the dark spirit. Eventually, another invader came in. It was a mound maker. We decided to try and be nice to him until he backstabbed a friendly phantom. We turned him into paste almost instantly. The hurt phantom healed and sat back down. By this time, the host was almost dead and the red was going at it. Eventually the red killed the host, then the dark spirit and I both quickly toasted before we disappeared. >faithincommunityrestored

Yeah, PvP is awful. I've stayed away from it, to be honest.

The only problem i have right now are the disadvantages you get as an invader tbh.

1 RespuestaEditado por DirtyBlondeMedic: 7/22/2016 6:44:36 PMIm glad I really never use meta weapons in games. On my first (assassin) character I settled for the Irithyll rapier (I liked it but I sucked with it). On my second (cleric), I am so far LOVING Wolnir's Holy Sword. On a deprived character I made recently, Im liking Vordt's great hammer so far. Need to increase my vit. so I can roll large distances again though with that 17 pound thing on me.

I can't believe there are still so many gank squads
-
1 RespuestaThe problem is that this Dark souls community you talk about has expanded a -blam!-ton since Dark souls 1. Honorfags aren't the majority anymore.

Editado por Deuce756: 7/22/2016 5:39:51 PMManners can be found in duels. Every game has a meta; that's unavoidable. Parries are easy on dumb players. A skilled duelist can bait your parry or will vary attacks. Darkmoon will never be fixed due to the nature of the covenant.

1 Respuestamanners are pretty common in fight clubs and 1v1s. They will never exist in invasions. Unfortunately dark souls 3's simplified multiplayer made it much easier to set up a gank squad, and the fact that invasions will almost only happen when the host has phantoms makes it much more easy for gankers to get 1 invader at a time to stomp. It'll never go away in this game sadly, all we can hope is that they give invaders some more advantages. Yes, the meta is sadly too limited. Though honestly you can thank the lack of poise and prominence of parrying for that. Everyone will just choose the weapons that can't be parried, the 1-shot combo weapons, or the fast stunlock weapons because they just work so well. Diverisity won't exist these things aren't fixed. I like parrying in this game, but your right the 360° needs to go. 180° should be the max. Darkmoon is much better now actually, you get summoned a lot more often. Though you still dont have enough people using way of blue.

9 RespuestasPvP manners? Are you using the red eye orb? Because red eye orb=philthy invader=no rules=just right. If you're getting ganked through a RSS... that just sucks. No comment. The only thing Uchi has going for it are range and running r1, same with all the katanas. Except Onikiri and Weebodachi. I find it interesting you didn't mention Onikiri. Or carthus rouge. Or the Carthus Curved Sword. Or offhand Bestoc. Yes. Offhand estoc is Bestoc. Preferably paired with main haind washing pole. Tryhard Spinswords are also sooo last month. If you're sick of getting parried, stop spamming! The third light attack just gets you into trouble. If you're sick of easy wins... I have nothing to say. 2h an UGS to change it up? IIRC there was a patch earlier in the week? Late last week? So it's being touched. Fairly regularly actually. As far as cancer goes, projecting blame for... your negative perception of some mechaincs onto the community is pretty -blam!-ing cancerous imo. ESPECIALLY when all you've done in the op is complain. Nothing constructive there really. If it's like that, remove yourself! If you're not gonna ne part of a solution, you're part of the problem ffs.
