First off, im not attacking nor defending bungie. Tl;dr at bottom.
1. We, as a community, are just shit at explaining what we want. When we find out what the new meta is (meta shouldnt be a thing even) we complain that its too op all the time, when it really isnt. This triggers an evil loop that never stops: we say hc's are op, then they turned into shit and pulse rifles were the new meta, then we complain about pulse rifles and they become "not good" and then auto rifles become amazing, but then we nerf them and they'll become shit and scout rifles are amazing. You see? By complaining so much bungie must think "HOLY SHIT NERF THIS AND THAT IMMEDIATELY!"...we are literally making the game worse for ourselves and just giving mixed, unclear and undetailed feedback. WE NEED TO GET BETTER AT GIVING PROPER FEEDBACK. Or else, this loop will never stop, and we have ourselves to blame.
2. Bungie, you need to listen to the people that are intellectual, logical and take time their time to do research and can be reasoned with. I know this isnt easy with such a community, but it has to be done. Dont listen to all the "MIDA TOO OP, PLZ NERF!!" type of posts where theyre salty af and make no sense. Even if it will take you years, just do it. For the greater good of Destiny and the community, as well for yourself. Lets get the community and Bungie at the same way of thinking, and Destiny will be a great game! Combine forces, make alliance! Dont split up and rage war! Rule together in peace!
TL;DR: we need to get better at feedback, and bungie needs to find smart people instead of ordinary nerf posts.
And ofcourse i would appreciate any feedback. Even grammar
na-zi's are welcome.
If u have any other problems that u would like in the op, i will quote it, copy paste and give u credit for it. If permission is granted to do so.

There will always be a meta, no matter what, in a game where loot is involved. The top toer players will figure out what works best and everyone will copy. That's just the way it goes.

1 RespuestaI barely skimmed so forgive me if I am off. I will repeat what I understand to make sure. Bungie is messing up and it's becoming pretty bad. You spread the blame between them, crybabies and our ability to communicate. You are encouraging more objective posts when addressing concerns and less subjective posts. You believe this will help Bungie. First off I like the direction. I respectfully disagree. Here is a short list but sums it up First - Weapons should never be balanced. A sniper rifle is not supposed to work like a shotgun. You pick the tool of death that fits your style and slay people. Even in armies soldiers train to be familiar with all weapons. But specialize in only one. Second - This community lacked leadership. We could always post to Bungie and had a kind of interaction. But this is not the same as leadership. So people started looking to these Streamers and YouTube Divas. They treated the community like a reality show and have messed things up. They need to step up and take that responsibility. It will start a healing and open dialogue. It also ensures the character of these individuals. Third - Bungie is not showing they can do this. When all is said and done Bungie has the well paid and experienced staff of professionals. Regular people are at home eating and drinking a beer. Bungie seems like a company that has great vision but lacks execution. They have made a wonderful game. My fear is that they are realizing this and shutting down. Like a parent that is always home but never there for you. They seem unable or unsure how to get control or guide the community. Even the changes seem almost like a punishment for whining. This has been slowly showing for awhile hasn't it? Now that it is exposed it can't be ignored. So this is where a good company stops asking Activision or any other company to help. They need to put on their big boy pants and come out to play. We are people, we are only angry because we are ignored. Find good speakers and start opening a dialogue. It won't be that bad. As for weapon/class/game changes and nerfs. This is the biggest issue yet. This game was not based on balance. It was based on you being the best at what you do. Then teaming up with others that do something else. As a group you achieve goals. This is a prime example of Bungie not being able to control a situation. Instead they change things hoping to please people. This is not the sign of a leader.

2 RespuestasEditado por Zoey: 7/18/2016 10:34:53 AMThey just ignore it all and do what they want anyway based on incomplete data that they don't even analyse properly, so what difference does it make
-
You're wasting your time with both Bungie and "the community."
-
8 RespuestasBungie doesn't want balance. Bungie has never attempted balance. They purposely create new gun/super metas, to keep the grind moving along. They aim to control how and what we play.
-
How about they actually play test their guns each patch with some competitive players? If something doesn't feel right, throw it back in the oven to cook some more. It's not that hard to understand.
-
The maps on pvp are too small to make distinctive weapon attributes. Balancing is more to do with time to kill than anything. Bigger variety on size and terrain team would force people to make choices between CQC and sniping for example.
-
1 RespuestaIt's because every "smart" person who does make a nerf post usually gets a ton of hate from others.
-
7 Respuestaspersonally i think the real problem is how mida is called a multi tool but can only kill. horrible invention really
-
9 RespuestasThe real problem is assuming it's actually possible to balance this game.

1 RespuestaI am welcome? Excellent.

Editado por JungleofTaxemes: 7/17/2016 4:23:00 PMInstead of buffing other scout rifles they took MIDA's high cal off. It's not that they listen to people who cry nerf, they nerf what's popular because they are terrified of 'power creep'- despite the fact that we are now incredibly far from that. Leading to a 1HKO meta. Bungie is the one taking decisions to nerf everything. Then go after special ammo, when this doesn't actually stop the 'frustrating encounters' they cite as a reason for more nerfs.

Editado por Mar: 7/17/2016 4:16:10 PMonly thing i would add is - just because a weapon is popular doesn't necessarily mean its over powered, the weapon may actually be balanced properly and the problem might be that because it is balanced properly it now stands above the weapons that were brought down by a nerf or rebalanced to work differently than before (see thorn as a example) and that maybe other weapons should be rebalanced to work in a manner that brings them more in line with the popular weapon's performance instead of bringing the popular weapon's performance down because it is popular. the key is to spend time looking at why the weapon is popular, sometimes a controlled environment such as a internal weapon test group working in private matches to find pure DPS numbers may not always give the best results. (not saying bungie nerfs stuff just because its popular, just a point i would like to add to the list above) that being said, if something is "over powered" it actually is over powered, and should be nerf'd / rebalanced to bring it into line with what it should be (perfect example being - year 1 gally... no weapon should be so over powered it starts becoming a content gate for the community.)
-
Bump. Unfortunately this will never happen though. It would take time to sift through the chaff to figure out who the "intellectuals" and "logical people" you refer to in your post. Bungie just prefers easy/lazy data analysis. "Look at graph! Oh. Blade Dancers and Gun Slingers average 10% higher KD than the other classes. Lets nerf them without first figuring out WHY they are outperforming other classes."

Editado por DaGroove: 7/17/2016 3:16:29 PM*don't
nerf everything!
2 RespuestasEditado por haphazardlynamed: 7/17/2016 11:59:00 AMYou can't Only listen to the intellectual, logical, reasonable people that's not how Democracy works! Idiots have the same right to vote as anyone else. Which is why Bungie nerfs based on popularity, not actual performance, there is real-world precedent they are following here.
-
Of course the posts crying about nerfs massively outnumber the posts crying for them. If the nerfherders stop, the buffherders need to as well. Give actually meaningful feedback, instead of begging for things to be undone when it's exceedingly unlikely that will happen.

NERF TITANS TO THE GROUND
-
Pretty accurate. Also add in map scale differences between pve and pvp. Makes range balancing a nightmare.
