Petition to ban all mention of Game Theory's Destiny video on the #lore sub-forum
This video keeps being brought up as evidence in lore discussions here and it's honestly getting annoying. This "theory" was poorly supported at launch and outright refuted by the time of TTK. It isn't exaggeration to say everything in the lore would I have to be retconned for it to be true. I'm not saying it isn't [i]possible[/i], but it would be very poor writing and lazy on Bungie's part.

But it is plausible, that there would be people, and/or factions that actually believe it in the story itself. It is said in many places, that most people do not know what happened during the fall of humanity. Because so much of the written history had been lost.

6 RespuestasThis is actually kind of sad... i actually enjoy his randomness in his videos. That theory actually sounds pretty cool to me. I can't be the only one to want the traveller to be evil. And since when had the lore section started containing toxicity? I thought that belonged in the feedback forum. Its sad that this section doesnot update nearly as much as the feedback side, and now the salt is overflowing into here aswell? Man.... i give on the community man.

I just didn't care for it. That theory was done and over done well before he got to it. I wish he'd attack something else more prominent in the grimoire. Doubt I'll ever see that though with yet another FNAF game coming out. The video was just disappointing to me.

1 RespuestaEvery gamer on the internet should know to take them with a grain of salt by now. It's called game THEORY for a reason. It's just a collective theory that several gamers came up with at, not facts. And who can blame them? The game itself has no lore or story to follow unless you go out of your way to open Bungie's webpage and read grimoire cards. I won't get into the plot holes and inconsistencies, but can we all at least agree that having the lore and story of a game, which was hyped with and sold off of it's supposed story, located on the developers website with no mention of it being found in game short of a pop up saying 'you got X card' is just a bad development choice?

All you had was Dinklebot tell you some facts and that was your lore and information. You know how bored I was playing those missions. But I thought the video was basically explaining what the original concept of the game was not the current plot? Also It's kinda annoying tho how people complain about game theory's videos like they have to click on it and have to watch. It's not like you know you could somehow just scroll past it? Same thing with lore posts that bring it up scroll past it. Get over it. If You sweat small shit like this in a forum I wouldn't wanna meet your dumbass in real life.

2 RespuestasThe lore is being re-written with each added expansion and update in this game. They think they can get away with it because a majority of the kids who play this game know nothing about the background about this game and the OG story is all cut out and missing information.
