Year 1 blue flames for Max Grimoire
You're not using them for anything Bungie. The flames would be a great way to instantly recognize those with max grimoire.
EDIT: So it's fair, score adjusted for Xbox vs PS4 of course.
EDIT 2: Just to be clear, I'm not saying we shouldn't have the flames for nightfall. Bungie had the last word on that. I'm just saying if we can't have them for nightfall why not use them for max grimoire. Or... how about something for both. Different colored flames perhaps? IDK, but no reason this can't be a civil discussion people.
EDIT 3: And just to address this point. Yes, Bungie would need to make everything available to everyone to make it fair.

This quote, in particular, regarding removal of the buff is interesting... "Another thing we didn't like about the Year 1 Nightfall was how players could feel forced to play Nightfall as early as possible in the week to maximize the benefit from the Nightfall buff. So, we've shelved that buff until we can reform it into something closer to its original intent - a mark of prestige for having achieved something challenging."
Makes me think Bungie won't bring it back for nightfall, but maybe flawless trials, raid completions and/or max grimoire aren't out of the question.

Make a series of VidMaster achievements like in the Halo 3 days, the achievements would be difficult as hell and encourage strong amounts of team work, a lot of people had a very difficult time completing these, but the players who complete them will get rewarded a flame. #Endure

They would be the same spawn in effects you get from the Exotic class items except it would be around youe head at all times. If you get max grimoire, you should get a lot more than just blue flames. IMO, that's a pretty big achievement, and there should be badass rewards for it.

Although I will never get there myself I think this is a good idea. People who put that much time into the game should get something in for it.

They should put it back on the nightfall. Still no clue as to why they got rid of it in the first place... ???? It was literally the only thing cool about the nightfall, I don't even care about the buff I just want the freaking flame head!!!!
