It's cause they believe they are better then Americans(and the other Europeans, but they all agree they are superior to americans). In my life i have found most Americans less full of them selves then most Europeans.(I am not American)
It's ironic cause they feel so superior cause "Those stupid Americans are so arrogant, and rude." While they are usually twice as bad

This definitely applies to the Europeans I've seen who live to bash America. Don't forget how they believe all Americans are racist, even though they can be just as bad as they claim all Americans are or worse.
