I think praying too much is the root of the issue.

42 RespuestasTo all of those who are scoffing at the idea of prayer, here is me as an atheist and also a frenchman. You are utterly horrible. You have nothing to contribute to this atrocity except for condescending attitudes and vitriol. These men and women, mother and children, are doing everything they can to deal with the loss and sorrow and pain of having everything they loved ripped violently from their arms and broken into a bloody mess. Have you heard the wailing of the mothers as they find their children reduced to nothing but ragdolls soaked in blood? Have you seen the corpses litter the roads of Nice? Have you any empathy in your damn hearts to let these people mourn and cope with this pain as best they can? Religion is the crutch people use to keep themselves from sinking a knife into their wrists in grief, so let them have it. Sure, you might not need it nor will I but others do. When my family grieves the loss of my mother's brother tomorrow and for weeks to come, they will fall on this so shut the hell up with your atheistic platitudes. Your "secular humanitarianism" caused this massacre. Your leftwing ideologies brought this man in. So shut the hell up when your actions that caused the deaths of nearly 100 JUST AFTER the attacks at Le Stade in Paris took 150 are being mourned by the religious. Just let people be.

7 RespuestasYou know what's even worse? BLM supporters are pissed at france for 'stealing the spotlight' and don't give two shits about the 80 people that died. -blam!- BLM

1 RespuestaWhy? Even if it makes the French feel better, or gives them good luck, terrorist don't care. They will attack regardless of consequences or impact on society.

Good to see humanity in this place

3 RespuestasIsn't it strange that the Mongol empire under Ghengis Khan at the time let everybody believe in different gods and the Mongol's did not care. But look now...

Why did it have to be on a celebration?(latest attack) its just a bit mean really

With François Hollande pushing strict gun laws, and allowing open boders, this was destined to happen. Wake up America.

To be completely honest France is such a target because of open borders and strict gun laws making terrorist attacks very easy. Just saying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Im going to ridicule the idea of prayer and tell you to do something tangible. My comment will add nothing but negativity delivered with some condescension. Whether you believe in God or not, actively placing our minds on an issue and seeking good outcomes will better enable an individual to actually do good. Whether God hears the prayer or not, the mind is powerful. Focusing ones mind on good will lead to good actions..

10 RespuestasEditado por Gladlin: 7/15/2016 5:27:57 AMThis is a horrific event. Those of you who are not religious, leave OP alone. If you believe that prayer is a waste of time, that is your right. Does it really have an effect on your life that he/she is praying for someone? In this day and age when religion is demonized, it is refreshing to see someone who uses religion to express a desire to project comfort on those who really need it right now. As I told someone earlier, sometimes that is all a person can do. Anyway, this is not the time to turn on each other for differences of belief. People are dead tonight simply for celebrating freedom and liberty. Many of us have family, had family, or have ourselves put our lives on the line for the freedom that we celebrate every 4th of July. It is the same freedom that our French brothers and sisters celebrate on 14 July. Now is not the time to turn on each other. Now is the time to stand with our brothers and sisters in Freedom through whatever way we can. Through prayer, through donations, through volunteering our services, or whatever else we can think of. Vive la France! Vive la liberté!
