I am a professional Principal Software Architect and a father of three, though one is now in Marine Corps boot camp. As a result, the ability of me to participate in Clan activity in Destiny is virtually Zero. Furthermore, since I don't know the raids, it is difficult for me to get in groups with strangers to do the raids as they want experience and reflexes of teenagers. As a result a significant portion of the game content is out of my reach and that means some of the best weapons and armor are not available.
This is a major bummer to me as I love the game. I don't understand why there is no means of Matchmaking like the LFG sites inside the game. Even using the LFG sites is difficult because the user base is scattered all over the various sites. Do you post on all three? Also there are gymnastics in getting into groups.
Now I understand the desire for you to get together with friends on various content but if the situation is such that we need outside sites to access content, it seems something is wrong. I don't understand why there isn't a similar functionality built into the game. That would put the content within the reach of people by me.
So I am wondering why Bungie still hasn't gone forward with some kind of in-game LFG functionality.

You said it yourself. There are plenty of lfg websites and forums. Nothings unavailable to you. You just seem to have not taken any initiative in finding a group on the lfg's
-
Personally, I find the current second screen requirement for grouping irritating. Xbox clubs are around the corner though, and I have heard positive things about PS4 communities.
-
You can make a post looking for members(LFM) in which you can post your own criteria for joining
-
Xbox or ps4?

If you have encountered afk players in the strike playlists you understand why they would never put matchmaking in the raids. Imagine trying to start a raid and 3 of the other players are just sitting there afk. Not to mention the trolls you come across that hold the relic on the devisive mind and malok strikes. If you dont know what to do in the raids there are plenty of videos on youtube you can use as a guide to get an understanding on the mechanics of the raid. Personally I use lfg.net and never have a problem finding a raid group. Also on many occasions I have seen people willing to sherpa new players through the raid.
-
All I hear are excuses
-
join a group or public games on the100.io So you can schedule the activity ahead of time. Plenty of Sherpas there as well
-
I'm starting a VOG hard now if anyone wants in.
-
As a result, the ability of me to participate in Clan activity in Destiny is virtually Zero.
False assumption. Try again
-
If you havent got 10 minutes to create a group then how are you going to have enough time to learn the mechanics and finish the raid?
-
They haven't and won't lfg in because they foolishly left it out and now they have the philosophy that lfg etc is already around so why do work when others have already done it... sort of.

4 RespuestasEditado por Leapfrog: 7/6/2016 9:07:14 PMYou should join Dad of Destiny. We all understand what father's go through and we are very helpful with guys that gave limited time and experience. Look us up

Add Obi-RonKenobi

You wouldn't accomplish anything with rng anyway. Just find some other older guardians. There are plenty of us out there.
-
Are you on xbox one ? If so I'll be happy to take you through the raids.
-
If you don't know the raid then we advise taking between 15-30 minutes to watch instructional videos on the raid mechanics. Once you have that down post on the forums that you are a new raider looking for help with your first run. Get a group together and be sure to follow instructions and not get frustrated. Overall it shouldn't take you longer than an hour to get the whole raid completed.
-
Ha Ha Ha major bummer (salute stance)

1 RespuestaThe second you finally run a raid, you'll realize what a bad idea "raid LFG" is. What ratio of people who know what they are doing ( and have the patience to lead ) will it be to "casuals who just can't seem to find a group otherwise". Staggering i can only guess.
-
In the time it took you to write this, you could have gone to #Recruitment or some other lfg site and found a group by now. You're not willing to help yourself so why should bungie or any of us help you? Ingame matchmaking would be disastrous and people with no mics or experience would ruin it and people would constantly leave. There's no difference between in game lfg and website lfg. 2 extra minutes out of your day?
-
I don't mind using lfg sites and the forums. However I think it would be beneficial to try and concentrate all the post into one place. The forums don't seem to be able to achieve this so maybe an in game lfg can.
-
Now only if BUNGIE added a general chatting system in the game, no matter where you are. Whether in earth, tower or mars. All would be connected to the chat and can chat to each other which will also make the game more alive then ever.
-
Join a clan and make some friends that know the game. There are several Dads of destiny clans that understand the commitments of Being a dad. Find one and play with clan mates and raid

16 RespuestasRaid content isn't unavailable to you. You lack the drive and willingness to help yourself out, and in that regard of garbage victim mentality- you excel. Go make friends. Go to DestinyLFG.com, Destinylfg.net, and destinytracker.com LFG to find a fireteam. I have kids, a wife, work 60-70 hours a week and somehow... I still find time to do what I gotta do. Git gud.

1 RespuestaI think they should have...wait for it might blow some peoples minds...
2 options a random matchmaker and a private.
Editado por Don Jose: 7/6/2016 7:53:22 PMIn game LFG is needed and has been needed. Why should I have to leave the game to find people to play the game with?
at least make it a kiosk
