Yeah, video games caused Columbine... not raging depression from abuse and social anxiety mixed with showing classic signs of being sociopaths. Just because in a video they mentioned how it would be just like playing a video game doesn't mean that video games are what inspired them or caused them to do this. It just shows that they were mentally deranged sociopaths who also happened to play video games. I'm sure if they never had played Doom or whatever game they mentioned that they would have never murdered a bunch of innocent kids in school. It's a miracle that I didn't go on some crazy killing spree being that I played games like Doom, Wolfenstein, Mortal Kombat, etc... at a young age. It's almost like I had a decent up bringing and good parenting so I was able to distinguish that a game is a game and not real life. Whew! Close call. But by all means, let's continue this stupid tired argument that video games cause and inspire the violence. Blame the video games because it is easy. Never mind the fact that that millions of young kids grew up playing these same violent games at too early of an age and the vast majority of us are well adjusted civilized people.

How on Earth did you arrive at that conclusion? No, that could not be further from what I am saying or implying. Banning all guns would definitely be one of the few things our government could do to us citizens in America that would legitimately make me pack up my family, abandon all hope for this once great nation, and move elsewhere. This has nothing to do with gun control. You're shifting the discussion to another topic for some reason.

Games didn't make the columbine kids violent, they had a lot of other issues unrelated to the games they played. Anyway, whether you let your kids play violent games is entirely your choice so good job on deciding not to do that. Some kids deal with the divorce of fantasy vs. reality well and leave the excitement and action to the games or TV, some do not.
