Ships and shaders
I've play destiny since beta, however some ships and shaders never seem to drop. The 3rd faction ships from NM and FWC, the iron banner ship and the green ships from the crucible. Are there some ships that are no longer available?
The vanguard strike shaders don't drop for me either.

The loot system utilizes RNG (Random Number Generator), which means that there is always a random chance of receiving something. However, some items have a lower drop rate for rarity purposes, etc. Just remain positive, rank up your factions as much as possible, and equip any exotic faction class items if possible, as I have experienced better drop rates doing these steps myself. I wish that for like, every 5th or so package we got to choose a non-guaranteed item. I want the revenant shader and the road unraveled ship.

I'm gonna be honest, even though there is a bug, I have gotten around 10 ships, and 15 shaders, and 4 emblems in the past 3 weeks from packages and loot. It is just luck, but it seems every package I open, I get 1 of the 3.

Bungie is aware of the issue and they are investigating. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/208029662/0/0/1 As for the Vanguard shaders, I believe those are dropping as intended, but the drop rate is pretty low for them.
