Because Bungie Day is on the 7th and the employees probably have the day off on the 4th. Bungie Day > Every Independence Day of every country

Digital Extremes, the company behind Warframe, is in Canada. They gave everyone free fireworks and made the weekend a double resource weekend. It was a quadruple resource weekend if you bought another booster.

The decorations along with background fireworks at the tower would have broken the destiny experience. No one would have been able to get in. I'm just glad that IB was playable however the drops were more towards crappy blues, sterling boxes, and or no end match rewards.
