We were invited into their party on PS4 and they begged us to leave so they could win.
We were slightly stacked. (I'm 2200 elo and my friend is 1900)
Since it was their flawless we left because we felt bad.
Then the guy who was carrying started trashing us calling us "Scrubs" for leaving.
What did I learn from this : Never help anyone in Destiny because they don't appreciate any of it.
Edit : Thanks everyone for the support. Not going to list his name since I'm not an ass.
I'm just in shock that after what we did, I'd never expect for them to sit there and insult and disrespect us.
Edit 2 : I'm not mad about the loss. Just mad at that guys response. We put trust on them and it backfired.

4 RespuestasSo just to clarify, one guy of out of three on a one fire team out of all players was a dick one time so you're never gonna help anyone in destiny ever again? Did I get that right because it sounds retarded.
-
1 RespuestaThat's why I pay no attention to those messages.
-
Ya that is uber shitty of them, some players man. Good on you guys tho for being the bigger person, as you know that lighthouse victory tastes so sweet.
-
1 RespuestaI don't use foul language for much, but seriously, -blam!- those guys. Leaving all bias out of this, you did something cool as shit, sacrificing your win for their stuck up side of this, and what they did? I hope after they got their win, the entire rest of the day was spent getting SHIT on in vanilla crucible by 100% of everyone. (That's what you do when you go flawless is go into "easy" crucible, or Patrol, depending, with a beer and something to snack on so you can wind down and have a good time with whatever it is you got.) But yeah, to you, OP, massive respect, a huge thanks for you being alive since I rarely see nice people, and I really, really hope you get some kind of circular good karma out of this or something.
-
Respect to you guys for doing a nice thing! Don't let it stop you doing it again just because of some dickheads.
-
Should've done the opposite, just lie to them and kick their ass. And let's see what hate mail you'll receive this time xD
-
You'd be receiving thank you messages for days if you did that for me
-
Same thing happened to us last week except we didn't ask xD
-
Never help. Bad enough they pay ppl for carries so don't think they need anyone else to help out.
-
I salute you for you nice gesture just a shame there are a bunch of idiots like these that don't appreciate it
-
The best you can do is report and move on. They are dicks. Only way to allow them to learn to not be dicks is show the consequences you can allow to happen.

You're a good guy. I'm sorry this happened!

1 RespuestaI'm pretty sure I found the team you thought you were helping. According to guardian.gg they convinced 20 plus teams to quit as well. Something fishy is going on with them.
-
Always good to be kind, that being said if anyone wants to go to the lighthouse against me they are damn well going to earn it. I did and so can they!
-
Some people have no respect. I'd be screaming thank you!!!!
-
You are awesome bro! Wish I could give them a piece of my mind lol
-
Dont lose faith in the community, I met some guys on lfg and (with my 0.4 trials K/D) we went flawless together, no carries, no wins given, I also still bear the scars from [armory]Thorn[/armory].
-
That was cool of you, even though they seemed ungrateful. Lol
-
My clan is allways doing pretty well. We have gotten messages before, asking for us to leave. I just reply, "no mercy". It is a really nice thing you did though, sad to get that trash after.
-
Generally I would say it's a good ingame community. That said of course there are douchbags around. But on the whole I find more good than bad. Nice move from your crew:)

1 RespuestaBeen twice my self just got back on destiny went in with some randoms from lfg got to 8-0 got gang -blam!- next match we are winning 3-1 the two randoms leave and the trash talk me in the party still give it a go but lost :-/

5 RespuestasIt's Destiny, it's not like the WoW Community. My guild gave out free gear in raids in WoW all of the time to random people. Of course they used us for it but they had good things to say about us. Gaming communities aren't like that anymore.

I've sort of had the same thing happen when a couple friends and I were just having fun in trial's not even going flawless. Another team that never had been flawless at all asked if we would let them win and we decided to give them the game. So after winning 4 rounds we just ran off the edge of the map sandbagging the game to give them the win, they started trash talking how we lost to them and this and that. I've been there and felt the annoyance. Almost as bad as when you have a good match that was back and forth for the most part against another team and you send them a message saying "GG" and they reply back with scrub or some other comments while they are hocked up on their h8teraid. ~Shrugs~ I've found a few who aren't that way, but in PvP it just seems that way all the time.
-
Dude I'd be grateful as hell if someone done that for me. Really really grateful

1 RespuestaYou still did a good thing; you helped two guardians who were being carried go to the lighthouse Don't stop because of one dick head who's probably been flawless many times and doesn't appreciate it any more. I say well played to you and your team
