90% of their community is on current gen consoles. You guys are just....so.....obsolete. It's nothing personal.

Not obsolete enough that they couldn't release the first 3 dlc's for them. Not to mention in all reality they could split them off like they're doing, remove the 2 original dlc's from the game minus the raids because those missions are "obsolete" as well. Then add the new dlc in the place of the original two because it would be around the same space given the fact that it's planned to be in between the size of db and ttk. Then no problem. The issue is laziness of the developers half.
-
I'm sure it's just not profitable to keep up w/ last gen when practically their entire community is on current. It's common sense. That's business.
-
I completely get that aspect of it but it's really only right for them to finish it the way they started or at least not make people repurchase what they already purchased when moving ahead. They're in the service/entertainment industry.

Editado por catrodsan: 7/1/2016 6:21:30 AMYou realize the RAM of an iPhone is greater than a 360s. It's not necessarily space, the hardware is obsolete for what they want to accomplish.
-
Actually, false. It is capable of running this because it is all built in the same engine with the same limitations, its that they don't want to spend the time developing for it.
-
Editado por catrodsan: 7/1/2016 6:27:38 AMNo its not. There's already small things that the 360 and PS3 can't handle graphically. If you're gonna say people are building their arguments on assumptions, don't built your car on one. Unless you know how the game and ROI is coded and the inner workings of the older consoles, your argument is also based on a big assumption.
-
It's not. But you claiming that last gen are the reason they cut content when the DEVELOPERS NEVER SAID ANYTHING is. You don't work at bungie.
-
Dumb down the graphics. Other games did it black ops 3 (inefficiently) shadow of mirror.
-
Maybe they don't want to water down graphics. It's one thing they got going for them. And as you said dumbing down the graphics kinda was inefficient.
-
No I said in the context of black ops 3 it was because they made it look like waw level graphics.
-
And every release has led to features needing to be cut for the legacy consoles to handle it. If you have to cut features to bring content to a console, is that console really worth the effort?
-
Never stated that features were cut BECAUSE of legacy consoles. Just a narrow minded assumption.
-
My first sentence is mildly vague and I apologize. I meant Destiny on legacy consoles has had features cut from it to make space for new content. Such as the loss of comparing in the Vault.
-
Destiny came out two years ago.
-
Yep. Your point? Kinda need context there.
-
Legacy consoles were more relevant then so that's why resources were spent on developing for them. Now only 10% of the population has the old consoles. Companies want to make a profit. Smart thing to do is drop the old consoles to save resources.

Well, damn the man!
